LIT RP SAMPLE:
The silence hanging over the dark streets of Seoul is broken by a sudden noise coming from the alleyway behind ‘Twin Egg Bakery’. Injoon moves quickly, avoiding the glow of the street lamps as he continues to let out a steady stream of clicking noises. As he does, a soft light begins to wrap around his forearms, staining his pale skin green with its familiar magic. That was too close, Injoon berates himself mentally. He would have noticed them following a lot sooner if those damn hunters hadn’t hidden their scent with whatever new concoctions they’d come up with. He should have noticed, that is. Perhaps he was losing his touch? Whatever the reason, he’d almost led them all the way to the loft before he got lucky and picked up the faint sound of three muffled heartbeats not too far off. Three heartbeats obviously being masked by hunter gear. The brunette shakes his head in frustration and picks up the pace, practically sprinting down the winding streets until he turns onto a dead end. A whine slips past his lips before he can stop it and he snaps his eyes closed to try and stop the tears of anger from falling. They burn their way down his cheek anyway, and he allows himself a short moment of regret before drawing in a steadying breath. The hunters are coming for him- to kill him. His only option is to defend himself. Injoon resumes his previous clicking, the practiced noises rolling off his tongue. This time they’re louder, more harsh. A rasping, near growl now building in the back of his throat. As he continues, the light from before spreads over his entire body, bathing him in its warmth and blowing his pupils wide until not a trace of the whites remain. He would not be the one to lose tonight, not after everything he’s sacrificed to make his way to the city. The guilt in his chest is replaced with determination as three masked figures step into sight, walking towards him slowly as if they have all the time in the world.
“Hey there, 선녀.” The one in the middle spits out the term like a slur. Fairy. Injoon can’t help but scoff.
“Im afraid you’re only half right…” He tilts his head in concentration and tries not to take too much pleasure in the confused look on their faces. They don’t even have time to react before thick vines are bursting from the sidewalk and coiling around their legs, locking them in place. “…seems someone didn’t finish their homework.”
It’s over before it can even begin. A flick of the wrist and three bodies fall limp to the ground, bones snapped easily by thick ropes of ivy. Too soon, the adrenaline of tonight’s events begins to wear off, leaving Injoon standing in sudden silence with a sickening feeling low in his gut. It always ends like this. With the fear. The anger. The hatred. If only he could stop running, things could be different. Maybe then he wouldn’t have to hurt people anymore. For now though, the exhausted creature runs a trembling hand through his hair and takes off in the opposite direction. Now it’s time to go home.
