After my second day of Music Talk’s - thought I’d make a small post about how things have changed in LEDapple and how they’re developing as a band... or it’s pretty much just a fan account of Music Talk shows.
It got really long, so made a keep reading thing.Â
- with Hanbyul gone, most of the talking during interviews and concerts are done by Kyumin. And he’s doing a great job swiching between serious and fun and fan service. He makes sure the other members are talking and is good at talking with the audience and not just to them.Â
- Kyumin lost his role as maknae to Kyosung, but I find their relationship the absolute cutest. Kyumin is in total big-brother mode, making sure Kyo gets some spotlight (even if kyo tends to hide a little behind the others to jam by himself), hits his cues and make sure he’s having fun.Â
- Hyoseok is now rapping... and drumming... at the same time! it’s the cutest! He’s a good rapper, but he often forgets the lyrics and improvise - which is even cuter!Â
- Youngjun is as silent and gorgeous as ever. Like a proud dad looking over his little apples-babies. He has a little gang of fan-noonas who are always there and does a little fan service with them, I think maybe I scare him a little or needs to feel comfortable to joke around, because he didn’t meet my eyes once the last time, but did look at me a couple of times today, and when I did meet his eyes he holds it just long enough for me to giggle and having to look away.Â
- Kyumin is ridiculously good at eye contact and seeing EVERYBODY there, nobody feels left out, he changes things up and flirt a little with everybody, both young and old. Kyo is still super shy and looks a lot down at his bass, but when he does look up he’s a little sunshine, looks at cute girls and giggle and look down again. Hyoseok is a flirt and winks and smiles and whoever he can see. The rest of the time he looks at the celing.Â
- their Japanese is getting better every week! Kyumin is the most secure so far (and they all used to tease him for being bad at languages, phffft), and can joke around more without a script, while the others are still pretty nervous to talk outside of their notes (can’t blame them - japanese is super hard yo). And whenever they make mistakes, there are always fans in the audience who help them out.Â
- Their sound is quite similar to what “old” ledapple was, they cover a lot of the same type of songs (uptown funk by ledapple is pretty much fave thing ever). I would say it’s a bit more rock like than it was, they’ve made several of the old songs a bit more raw - but it might be just because it’s live.Â
I’m super excited about music note 2 starting next week!! WOHO!Â
