The WONDERfools (2026, South Korea)
Director: Yoo In Shik
Writer: Heo Da Jung
Mini-review:
I don't know why I put this off for so long, cause it was really fun. Recently I've been in the mood for a comedy and this show hit the spot. Sure, it's over the top, but the excellent cast makes things work with their pitch-perfect comedic timing. It also helps that the directing is amazing too, particularly when it comes to the visual framing and editing of the action scenes. I guess it does drag a bit when they start focusing on the whole cult thing, but even then it never lost my interest. As for the production values, while the CGI is overall pretty good, I felt like the period detail wasn't as well realized. Most of the time it didn't really seem like the show was set in 1999. But yeah, all in all, The WONDERfools is arguably the best superpower-themed K-drama I've watched so far.

Costume Designer: Gregory A. Poplyk
Musical actress Lee Soo Bin recently opened up about working alongside singers Park Hyo Shin and EXO’s Suho in the musical “The Man Who Laughs.” “The Man Who Laughs” is based on the Victor Hugo novel of the same name and tells the story of Gwynplaine, a man with the terrible face of a monster
If only I were she!
Jo In Sung: I don't appear on variety shows often compared to other actors. I sometimes go when Cha Tae Hyun hyung invites me.
MC: You went on 'Infinity Challenge' and '1 Night 2 Days'. Does that mean you're only determined to go on the best shows?
Jo In Sung: I just went because they contacted me. As for 'Running Man', I think it'll be too much running. Also, you need to have some intensity on variety shows but I'm so close with Lee Kwang Soo. If viewers see how I really treat Kwang Soo, they'll be in for a surprise.
