Local Magic Hero Solves Supernatural Crisis With A Glock
The Justice League had a reputation.
Each founding member was instantly recognizable — Superman’s strength, Wonder Woman’s divinity, Flash’s speed, Batman’s… whatever Batman was.
Everyone stood out.
Everyone made sense.
Except Phantom.
Phantom had joined years after the League formed, quickly becoming their go-to specialist for anything involving curses, demons, portals, haunted cities, ancient rituals, or “the laws of reality are currently optional.”
He was the hero who pushed hardest for the Meta Act. The mage who shut down cult invasions. The supernatural problem solver.
No one was actually sure what Phantom was.
They just knew:
He was incredibly powerful He understood magic better than anyone alive If something crawled out of another dimension — call Phantom
To the world, Phantom was a master sorcerer.
To the League, Phantom was basically their arcane nuke.
So when a massive magical disturbance erupted — reality tearing open, ectoplasmic storms rolling through the city, a powerful entity stepping through from what Zatanna later confirmed was technically the afterlife —
They called Phantom.
They prepped for a huge spell battle.
Runes.
Force fields.
Evacuation protocols.
Then Phantom floated in, stared at the glowing entity for three seconds, reached into his jacket—
And pulled out a gun.
He shot it clean through the shoulder.
The creature shrieked.
The League froze.
“PHANTOM — WHAT THE HELL?!”
Phantom squinted at the wounded figure.
“Ember, I know I told you if you tried to take over the world again I was gonna shoot you.”
“You SHOT ME IN THE ARM?!”
“Yeah. In the arm. You don’t even feel pain.”
“…STILL.”
“And,” Phantom added calmly, spinning the gun back into his holster, “you know I don’t miss.”
The League slowly realized:
Their most powerful mage did not, in fact, solve problems with magic.
He just used violence creatively.
