It's time for me to be obsessed with this show for the time being and make it my whole personality and implement the aesthetic into my wip.
I absolutely adored Doona. Finished last night and it's definitely in my top 3 Sejong dramas - I am a massive fan of slice of life and I loved that the director took the time to really sit in the emotions and relationships and sense of place.
Sejong was, as always, stunning and gorgeous and wonderful but my god, Suzy is a revelation. I cannot textually render how much I love Lee Doona. And Ha Young is incredible too - just loved this drama a lot.
For all that it is a romance (and don't get me wrong on this, their chemistry is INSANE and the kisses are very very good and they are lovely together), it's also not just that? It's very focused on the characters as individuals and who they are to each other and how they intersect and diverge and the friendships that remain constant and it is truly a unique drama to me.
UNEQUIVOCALLY recommend this.
PS: don't expect a ton of plot - if you don't enjoy slice of life dramas you might feel disappointed at a perceived notion of "nothing happens" but I actually loved this aspect of it more than I can say.
