With Tuesday marking the 10 year anniversary of the D.C. sniper shooting spree, convicted sniper Lee Boyd Malvo expresses some of his sentiments towards what occurred. Malvo has called himself a monster and that seeing the face of the families of the victims makes him feel like 'the worst piece of scum'. John Allen Muhammad, Malvo's accomplice, was executed in 2009 for the same shooting spree. The two have been linked to over 27 shooting across the country, but it was the 10 fatal shootings in the D.C. area which got both of them caught. Malvo was 17 years of age at the time, and is believed to have been manipulated by Muhammad who was older than him. Though Lee Boyd Malvo did not wish to comment on the situation, he did have this to say: "There's nothing that I can say except don't allow me and my actions to continue to victimize you for the rest of your life." Families of the victims have expressed that there is no way of forgetting the acts which took place ten years ago. Malvo is currently serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole in West Virginia.
