how I feel about this character

leechclaw has consistently been one of the characters from fogclan who has stood out the most to me. they were a unique perspective when all of the conflict started occurring, especially because they were biased toward palestar. their trust in her ended up getting them in a lot of trouble and i’m just...really intrigued by how they’re developing as a result of that.

all the people I ship romantically with this character

no one quite yet! in another world i might say leechclaw and cinderstar, but i don’t think cinderstar will ever take another mate after waspwing.

my non-romantic OTP for this character

okay, hear me out...i actually liked their friendship with palestar...more specifically palewhisker. sure, she always hated breezestar and was sort of scheming, but her true acts of evil didn’t come out until there was pressure from outside forces. this isn’t to say that their friendship was always healthy, but it was certainly intriguing. leechclaw grew up with her, trusted her, and for a while palestar trusted them, too. if nothing else, they had an interesting connection.

my unpopular opinion about this character

i don’t think they can be blamed for all of the shit that went down in fogclan. palestar was off her rocker after the confrontation with thicketface...she probably would have gone after another clanmate eventually, even if leechclaw hadn’t unintentionally given her the idea of targeting stonefang. they were just chatting with a cat they thought was their friend, someone they could trust. how could they have possibly known palestar would use that information in such a negative way?

one thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon

obviously palestar was going to make dawnpetal deputy, but...deputy of fogclan leechclaw could have been neat, too. she trusted them enough, at least at the start.

ship with: No one, yet! I don’t have much to go off of for them

friendship them with: Cinderstar! I loved their conversation in the territory.

general opinions: I don’t have much to say about them because they are new, but so far I love them! I hope that one day they can move on from all the regret they feel and learn to forgive themselves. Overall, I am looking forward to watching them grow as a character and I really hope Creamnose can interact with them. (Or Goosewing... I feel like the two could be friends.)

Thoughts on leechclaw?

I don’t know a lot about him because he hasn’t interacted with Rowanpaw and I tend to skip over things that don’t involve my cats dfgdf but from what I’ve seen of him he seems like a good character. I like his design!
