The L.A. Tech Scene is a Sausage Fest!
If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times lately... that the L.A. Tech Scene is just one big Sausage Fest. For all those people (mostly disgruntled men who haven't had a date in too long a time) I say "you are off your rocker!" I'm not about to put together a calendar (there's already the Hot Blogger Calendar), but I wouldn't mind putting together a coffee table book of all the amazingly intelligent and beautiful women that I've met in the Tech Scene. Amanda Coolong and Lee Fox (@acoolong & @KooDooZ respectively) are just two examples of they women I've met (full size version of the above pic). I've had the pleasure of shooting some of the most beautiful women in tech and each one would describe themselves as a geek. People like Janine Warner (my pic & her site), Laura Fitton - aka @Pistachio (my pic & her twitter page) not only know their tech but could teach the boys a few things. If I sound like I've got my dander up over the subject it's because I believe that saying that the tech scene (in general) is a Sausage Fest is tantamount to a slap in the face of all women. We are so far beyond the time when men owned the scene. If you haven't seen any Women In Tech then you are either blind or you should shower, shave and get out of the basement you call your 'man lair' and breathe the fresh air of The New Tech Scene as it's full of the most interesting Women you'll ever meet, and maybe... just maybe (if you pluck up enough nerve), one of them will talk to you and you will find yourself enamored by their intelligence and beauty.
I've shot so many more, Strong/Intelligent/Beautiful women that I haven't included in this rant, and I may have to go back and share all their names and links to them, but that may take more time than I have as there are soo many. Let me know if you think I should do it sooner than later. And, if so, please email me:
