Toadette and Toad are unplayable, so there are only 4 characters who are confirmed female out of a playable cast of 20. And don’t get me wrong, I love Peach, Daisy and Rosalina, but their designs are basically carbon copies of each other with different hairstyles and primary colors while all the human guys get varying body shapes and sizes. The only breaker of the mold out of the four is Pom Pom.

I know they can’t have the genders evenly distributed sadly, there just aren’t enough female characters to use that aren’t too obscure (unless if you reach for like Paper Mario and Warioware or something,) but when both Toadette and Birdo get snuffed, just, ugh...
