Last year, I made a 4 page comic for the 9ekunst Nieuwegarde anthology, a fantastic initiative to bundle new and unknown comic artists in one big book and bring them into the public eye.

It was published and released for sale in the beginning of March, and I’m still very much in the”wow I did that?” mindset. I’m pretty proud how it turned out, so I’ve translated it i to English for you!

It was a fun challenge to establish a lot of information in only 4 pages, and I hope you enjoy it.

Some facts:

Valdis is a Druid-type healer who makes and sells potions, poultices and other herbal remedies for a living. She’s an introvert, a bit of a loner, but learns through Lyr that she perhaps has been lonely, not alone.

Lyr is a human barbarian that’s not used to spending much time in the same place, but she makes an exception for Valdis, only to learn that she likes other people as company more than she thought despite her clumsy and underdeveloped social skills.

So, here it is. A deep melancholic feeling, lots of details. Just some wlw. A weary Knight looking to rest her blade, and a Dryad to offer comfort, a haven.

I poured a lot into this in a very stressful time, it comforted me a lot, I hope it will comfort you too.
