Leet Updates

It has been a long time since we have written and caught everyone up on what we are doing here at Leet. Most recently Leet just returned from exhibiting at G2E Asia in Macau. Being able to introduce our products to another region of the world, and seeing the response was quite gratifying. eSports is having a moment, and people from the traditional gaming industry are taking notice. We are grateful to be leaders in this space, and to be shaping the industry with our products and services.

Leet has also been hosting weekly tournaments on the casino floor at the Downtown Grand in downtown Las Vegas. This is the first step towards fully legalized betting on eSports and video games in a Casino environment.  We have been covered in magazines, talking about casinos moving into this space, and what Leet has been providing weekly. Recently, were able to become part owners in a new and upcoming eSports team called “Rogue”. ESPN covered the launch of the organization with an exclusive article. Rogue currently has one of the top teams in the world in Overwatch. They are undefeated in tournaments so far, and look to be an early favorite to win the championship at Blizzcon. Leet is going to be moving Rogue to Las Vegas within the next few months, to establish a local team and regionally strong fan base.

Twitchcon

This past weekend, Twitchcon was held in San Francisco with over 20,000 attendees. We were lucky enough to attend, check out the awesome events, and meet some great streamers. It’s the first of it’s kind for Twitch, but I’m sure after seeing the success of this event, it will become an annual event for streamers and gamers.

We look look forward to the growth in eSports, and to see what Twitch brings us next year at this awesome event.

Heroes of the Storm Championship

Fans from all over the world tuned in to see the Championship streamed on twitch.tv. Leet was fortunate enough to be able to sit in on this event held in our very own backyard. Apart from Evo which is held here in Las Vegas every year, this is we believe the largest eSports event to date held in Las Vegas.

After such a great event, we are looking forward to more eSports events being held in our city of Las Vegas. Congrats to Cloud 9 on their epic win, and we look forward to seeing them compete at Blizzcon!

Updated payment system and new partnership with Leet.gg

We are switching to a deposit / withdrawal system directly on our platform : you now have your very own Skins Bazaar wallet. This means that you can now buy stuff with your credit on Skins Bazaar without having to withdraw it to a bitcoin wallet first!

And remember our old system when you had to wait up to an hour before confirmation after a payment? Well that’s over. After initial deposit all transactions will now be instant if you’re using Coinbase.

Gaming Records Left and Right

This past week wrapped up one of the more exciting weeks in gaming and eSports that we’ve seen in a while. Both Gamescom and The International DOTA 2 tournament wrapped up, and both set numerous records!

In the United States, the largest DOTA 2 tournament was wrapping up. The International, held in Seattle, boasted a record $18,000,000 prize pool. The largest for any gaming event ever. Not to mention that this event, apart from it being streamed over the internet, also was covered by ESPN. Making it the second time this event was covered by the major sports network, and although the numbers aren’t out yet, it’s being projected to have surpassed all of last years numbers comfortably. The International also had a feel good winner, Evil Geniuses from the US.
