Wait a minute, has anyone said anything about Nancy and Mia being cousins?

Like when they’ve both grown up a bit and Nancy tells Mia about this vague memory she has of staying at Button House as a baby when she could swear this weird man without any trousers who kept doing weird hand gestures was always there, and there was a disembodied talking head too, and Mia’s just casually like “oh that’s Uncle Julian and Uncle Humphrey”

Finally watched Paddington in Peru and! Very fun movie, Peru looked pretty accurate, and Simon had a very short but fun appearance!!

More importantly there were two (!!) Left a bit's!! A win for me personally :3

I am so, so, so glad for the ending. Theo decision to have Paddington stay in London was perfect and so well executed. The expectation of everyone that he would stay and the slow reveal!!! Favourite scene in the whole movie!!

Also the mid credit scene with Hugh Grant was great, no notes.

I really hope Larry filmed those Humphrey scenes by actually standing inside the cupboard with his head sticking out through a hole

I overall enjoyed the episode tbh, everyone was in their element, both Betty and Fanny in doting grandma mode on opposite sides, Kitty being jealous of the baby, Thomas being in denial (still), Robin not feeling Christmas-y enough, Pat’s babytalking, it was all beautiful

Fanny and Julian accidentally getting caught due to their ghost powers I absolutely loved

The exorcism bit was interesting, it had me slightly on edge but it was still a cool plot point. Alison smiling when she just so much as hears the ghosts behind her, she doesn’t even needs to see them to know they’re still there

Still neutral on the baby stuff. Mia herself is adorable, of course, Mike and Alison seem to be good parents so far, I’m just not bothered about baby plots that much

The only issue I have is the “breaking up the found family” bit. It doesn’t go all the way with it, it’s a lovely twist to have Mike and Alison regularly come back, it’s just that whole “you have a ‘real’ (biological) family now so you should move on from your found family” thing I’m not a fan of. The very end does soften the blow, though, it’s satisfying if nothing else

… oh and Humphrey was there! :D

I think Humphrey’s body should always respond to anyone holding his hand by swinging it, he can’t tell who it is half the time but someone is interacting with him and that makes him happy :)
