jason x tim x cass -Writing on skin transfers with trans girl!tim
The first people to know Tim was a girl were her soulmates. She was seven when she realized it, and wrote it on her arm cautiously. One responded with a 'you're an awesome girl then' and the other responded with a happy face.
Tim was happy they knew, and hoped to see them soon. She couldn't be out with her parents, something she told the others. They were upset (or one was. The other just did a frowny face but Tim figured they had a learning disability or something preventing them from writing) with her parents which Tim liked.
Tim met her first soulmate when she was forced to go to a gala. She was a little pleased it was with the Wayne family, though she didn't speak to them at first. Rather she wrote about the party she was at (a family buisness thing she explained) and saw Jason Todd laugh.
She got curious, wondering and then...
"Hi Jason," Tim smiled at him as she showed him her hand. Jason stared and then smiled widely.
They were young, and decided to let their soulmate status rest until they figured it out. Tim confessed to knowing about Batman, and she joined the team as a researcher, uninterested in taking to the streets right away. Rather she waited as Bruce got custody of her, and let her begin transitioning. It was Tim who managed to keep Jason from running off to Ethiopia, unknowingly saving his life.
But it was Jason who found Cassandra, the girl recognizing his mark on his hand. She slipped into the family easily, a sister and a friend.
She learned to speak and to write, though she preferred ASL more then not, and her smiley faces on their arms.
They never did define what they were. But they were all the happy for it.
