First off - fuck Jeff Bezos. I’m so tired of grinding so hard, to just barely get by, while he is getting rich off my sweat. My hard work. My fucking integrity. It irks me to no end that I am barely getting by while he is quintupling his worth because of the work that I, and in all fairness many others, do. It irks me to no end that, because I never had a big idea and a bunch of money from my parents and no scruples whatsoever, that I am still in this position. It FUCKING FLOORS ME the way that customers pulls their masks down to talk and just get within inches of me like I don’t even fucking exist to browse stupid over priced mass produced feel-good bullshit food. I see them giving other customers distance but me, or my coworkers? Nothing. We don’t exist to them. We are disposable peons, existing solely to serve them and make them feel good about shopping at a grocery store that pays lip service to “fair trade” and “animal welfare.” Fuck you Jeff Bezos and fuck all your yuppie clientele.
Did you know Amazon has a whole fucking fleet of...maybe not jumbo jets, but these bitches ain’t small either. That’s how you get your shit within two days. When you order shit off Amazon, you, personally, yes YOU dear reader, are contributing to climate change. It gets picked frantically by people with little to no option for a better job, under threat of destitution, in a warehouse riddled with a potentially deadly virus among other existential threats, to go to an airport. The decentralized model of warehousing was admittedly pretty cool when it began but with the two day shipping pretty much anywhere now - THAT is how it works. Your shit gets loaded onto DC-10s that roar off into the skies dumping heavy duty emissions. To be put on trucks burping out more noxious shit. To be shoveled into shitty poorly maintained cars and trucks driven by ignorant people who, despite their ignorance, only want what we all want - a better life. All day, every day, all night, every night. And I can hear it now. “Well I mean I only order shit from there once a week, or maybe twice a month.” Extrapolate that to whatever metric you want. Pretty much everybody just clicks without thinking anymore cuz “I know it’s bad but it’s so convenient!” Multiply that by millions and then fucking wonder why this pandemic won’t stop and hurricane season keeps starting earlier and ending later and keeps getting exponentially worse and wildfires take off like rockets. FUCK your convenience. Do the fucking right thing as opposed to the easy thing. I’ve heard and read people say they can’t find it anywhere other than there either. You know the businesses selling there have their own websites, right? You know you can cut out the middle man and go directly to those websites, right? Christ, it’s like you’ve never studied business or just figured out how a business works or done or bought or sold drugs. CUT OUT THE FUCKING MIDDLE MAN. Fuck the middle man! The middle man is a dirty little pimp! FUCK THAT DUDE! Show some balls, get creative, ask around, step on some toes - the rest of the world does it so why shouldn’t you? Fuck the middle man, yo. Alright SO. Carrying on from there. Why the fuck aren’t we still getting hazard pay? Is the hazard over? Cuz from where I’m standing, with increasing cases everywhere, in the world at large and in the workplace (if you don’t have the luxury of working from home) and having to tell dick-noses multiple times daily to COVER ALL THE BREATHING HOLES IN YOUR STUPID FUCKING FACE, from whence you are dumping the virus because WE ALL KNOW if you’re making one stupid selfish choice you are making a hundred stupid selfish choices - it sure the fuck ain’t over. These Richie Rich fucks can afford to pay us more than just a scrape-by wage while still becoming even more cartoonish Scrooge McDucks - so why aren’t we demanding it? Because we’re bitch-made?
