Videos: Leg Sweeper live at the Loft

  There was a surprisingly nerd-enthused crowd at the Loft last night, undoubtedly because of chip-tune, 8-bit rockers, Anamanaguchi. But before that craziness started, Dallas-based punk band, Leg Sweeper kicked off the night. Drummer Taylor Stolly and guitarist Justin Gomez have perfected the simple, catchy punk style and consistently manage to please. Having seen them before during 35 Conferette at Hailey's in Denton, I have to say the darker, grungier venues serve better for Leg Sweeper's wild personality.

We managed to catch some video of Sexy Weekend, Dream Babe, and Brain Damage. Thankfully, because these dudes are only playing two more shows before taking a hiatus. Hopefully these will help ease your cravings.

Leg Sweeper | Sexy Weekend

Forget Rebecca Black. When it comes to the weekend, this is by far one of the most rockin' songs I know. Leg Sweeper are an unsigned Dallas, Texas punk rock band who put the jam back into Friday. The EP has been on bandcamp since June, and is part of a growing collection of their straight-up, straightforward garage-rock sound.

Find 'em via bandcamp or myspace, there's plenty to go around.
