THERE’S A BRIGHT SMILE settled upon her lips as she enters their room, kicking the door closed behind her. Minerva can barely contain her excitement, not something that’s a normal occurrence. She’s quick to discard her clothing and pull on a light nightgown, the smile not leaving her lips for an instant as she crawls into bed and curls up beside him, head resting on his shoulder. “Guess what?”

It was a chance, wasn’t it, going to the Vale in her...predicament. In a realm that believed she was dead, perished from the world in a storm of wildfire, she had snuck away. Far from King’s Landing, far from Highgarden as well. That was not an option, though. Not for a good while. Not with House Tyrell in such disarray, no longer did a Tyrell have a seat of their home. Such an odd thought, to say the least. To think herself not welcomed, not safe within the Highgarden walls... An ache had settled deep in her heart for that thought alone. No tears, though. She would shed not a single drop. The time for tears was gone, plans needed to be made, but for now? Now, she simply needed time to regroup. She had thought of Winterfell being her sanctuary, yet she was not all too sure if her presence even there would be welcomed. She had not seen Sansa Stark in so long, their relationship strained after the murder of her brother and mother, her incapability of truly comforting the girl as she desperately wanted to. Her grandmother wouldn’t allow it — how would it look, for the future bride of the King to be seen comforting a traitor’s daughter, a traitor’s sister? Perhaps she could make amends for such things later, but now, now she needed refuge, and in that, she came to the Vale in hopes of that. “I know it is late,” she had let out in a soft voice, turning toward the heir, a soft, demure smile on her lips. “But I do appreciate you taking the time for me. I wish I could offer a gift for my appreciation, but, as you can imagine, I have nothing left to give. Would you turn me away for that?”

LEANING AGAINST THE WINDOW SILL, she gazes through the glass for several moments, a small smile on her lips as she watches Tilda chasing her little sister ( who’s now a bit more of a handful since learning to walk ) around through the grass. After a moment she turns toward Gaius, head tilting slightly to one side. “Do you ever thing about having another one?”

“So, you and my mother-- you knew each other when you were kids?” She’s still suspicious of him and suspicious of his and Minerva’s relationship, but the least she can do is try to get to know him better and try to get along with him. “I can’t really figure out why else she’d trust you so quickly. She...doesn’t really do that.”
“So is it Jesus’s birthday?” Ned dayne
“Apparently so.”
“But I rather think of it as the season of giving... and receiving.”
