Arno Brandlhuber trabaja como arquitecto y urbanista en Alemania. Su práctica es impulsada por la constante reinterpretación de la ley, las normas de zonificación y código de construcción. En su conferencia en el Banco Mediolanum el lunes pasado el 8 de mayo, nos dio algunos ejemplos de cómo las regulaciones afectan el sector de la construcción… Leyes que crean diseño, leyes que tienen materialidad…

Hoy en día arquitectos sienten que la ley es una barrera entre las ideas y proyectos construidos. ¿La legislación es un elemento o un obstáculo?

El pensamiento moderno se basa en unos parámetros, legislar sobre la arquitectura.

Eso no se contradice a que las reglas son unas ahora pero siempre se pueden mejorar y restablecer. Se propone la legislación como instrumento provocativo, usar la ley como herramienta de trabajo, hacerse de uno mismo la ley para poder reinterpretarla.

De arquitectos a los políticos: Cuando conocemos todas las reglas, podemos empezar a jugar con ellos, haciendo nuevas regulaciones. Como la arquitectura está constantemente en evolución, la legislación también. Tenemos que empezar pensando en legislar sobre arquitectura.
