LIKE SERIOUSLY THIS COUPLE IS WHAT 80% OF MY CURRENT HAPPINESS RELIES ON WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER TONIGHT
I wonder if I can waltz in to visit Canada at the beginning of November and then just refuse to leave if the election results are catastrophic
I wish I could say I was completely kidding
Does anyone have any tips for what job yo get when you have severe social anxiety? Some days it seems so easy, but the moment I start looking I start to panic. I think something repetitive and relatively simple would be the best for me mentally but I have no clue where to look.
So Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas just announced a motion to repeal decisions made protecting contraception rights, same-sex marriage, and the right to privacy in the bedroom
Same-sex marriage is what it says on the box, but I would like to remind everyone that many forms of contraception (like mine) are valid forms of medical treatment for other health problems that are debilitating if not life-threatening; and the basic right to privacy means states could legislate who you have sex with, when, where, and how in any way they see fit. This includes making various sex act illegal and passing a law requiring marriage however they see fit. States could make it illegal to marry any demographic of people the state deems unfit. The basic right to privacy in the bedroom protects against whatever crazy shit the Texas legislature (for example) would pass.
I'm not trying to say that these rights shouldn't be protected for the most straight forward reasons, I just need people to understand just how far this goes. To arm someone trying to convince family/friends of the severity of the situation.
This is just a motion announcement, it doesn't appear to even be accepted for consideration yet, but with this supreme court, we can't assume that it's too crazy to pass anymore.
This is the first time I've ever really stressed about finances. My job has had to cut back my hours drastically for a month and that means I'm back to working part time. I still have rent, car payments, gas, insurance and I'd like to eat once in a while...
I'm going to go through my stuff and see if I can sell some of it. I need some good vibes and a little luck, folks.
