Cowabunga, it's the new Turtle movie! The turtles and Splinter must once again battle the Foot Clan, this time for the last vial of the Ooze that transformed them, when TGRI decides to clean up it's mess. I really liked this one too, even with the April recast (Judith Hoag > #PaigeTurco), getting to see how the Ooze worked - with Tokka and Rahzor and how it could be reversed (why weren't the Turtles or Splinter affected?) was cool. Those huge flowers?! The turtles new place (an abandoned subway station) I want to go to there. Heroes in the half shell! Four mutated turtles, with the help of a local news reporter and vigilante, take on the Foot Clan to save not only New York City but Master Splinter as well. I grew up watching the cartoon on tv, so this definitely brought some nostalgia back. The Henson Creature Shop stuff and costuming were Amazing - love love loved it. The sets (basically everything - the Foot Clan's HQ, the turtle's lair, April's apartment/antique shop, that house they go to) were awesome - real, scuffed, gritty and used. The music to the casting (loved #JudithHoag's April, and #EliasKoteas' Casey Jones 😍👌🏼), the dialogue, those dance scenes, the action scenes and the fights (Raph v Jones in the park, the Turtles v the Foot Clan and then Shredder, etc...), the connection between Splinter and Shredder - loved it all. Now I definitely want to check out the comics and buy the complete cartoon series and binge that.
