The implication for the timeline is crazy! This means Roswaal goes to get Emilia a month prior to the Royal’s illness.
Emilia would be known as a special guest by Clind, Frederica and the rest of the staff but not a Royal Candidate then.. waaaait. How the HELL did Roswaal get ahold of a Dragon Insignia to give to Emilia then if the Election wouldn’t have even been called yet since the Royals are still alive?
Did Roswaal somehow talk w/ Leip to get some? Leip in Ex 1 was in possession of the darned Insignias and handed it out during the Royal Families funeral to try testing the Nobles so he’d clearly had them for a bit.
Plus his appearance in Ex 2 definitely with how morally bankrupt he seemed & his explicit desire to have the Kingdom for himself made me think he maybe knew in advance Priscilla was a Candidate and married her for that reason soo.. not a stretch he sat on those Insignia for awhile and it led to maybe Roswaal flying over doing some sketchy BS with that fuck at some point to attain one.
This timeline is 100% gonna bite Roswaal on the ass I bet though. In King Selection Part 2 we blatantly had Russell accuse Roswaal of somehow knowing in advance the Royals were all gonna die out & Roswaal only escapes the consequences of that accusation by the skin of his teeth via Russell dismissing the notion as not making much practical sense Roswaal would take Emilia as his Candidate then if he had such foreknowledge since that’d be a waste of an advantageous hand.
This convo however will occur before Subaru Natsuki comes into the world and given all the things I believe Russell believes of him? Yeah. That uh. That’s going to make that convo look immensely different to Russell.
Then Russell is likely going to be able to verify later on that Emilia is brought to Roswaal’s Mansion a month prior to the Royals dying if the guy wants to backdate the info via his mass network of CIA Agents. It’s going to look TOO weird man. Hooohie, Roswaal is gonna be in some deep shit.
Wonder if Russell will enlist Marcos to help him out against the clown given Marcos already thinks Roswaal basically played them all for some unknown reason & schemed everything at the Conference during his little moment alone in the LN 4 Epilogue.
