Today I took the Edinburgh tram into Leith so that I could go on a tour of the Port of Leith Distillery, across from the Royal Yacht Britannia at the Ocean Terminal. The men are likely Scottish workers from the South Georgia Co., which had recently established a factory on Leith Harbor. The whale lies on a flensing platform, on which whales were cut up to remove commercially valuable parts.
