> make silly ttrpg character in group of mostly cis men (the one other gnc person wasnt there this week)
> folks at table use he/him last week, and she/her this week for this character (suspect it was subconsciously reflecting my presentation bc i wore a dress this week lmao)
> gm asks me "what is altair's..." [gender] halfway through session this week
> i say "silly with it, ive been using all of the pronouns"
> all of a sudden the table only uses they/them for my character. i still swap between he she they (and use neos and it/its when i remember lol).
but suddenly my character who had no gender to the rest of the table and unconsciously referred to by xir's "proper" pronouns (any/all with switching semi frequently) was they/them'd indefinitely
i think they/them is a good set of pronouns for gnc/nb characters (i mean i use that set of pronouns exclusively) but augh i hate that its become so common to go "oh you dont use 'normal' pronouns?" *they/them beam*
