Product Design & Development
In this course I expected to have a better understanding of the importance of research in product design and development. As well as to explain design concept and ideation. Through discussion posts, I discussed design development where our class recognized the importance of prototyping and customer validation. In Eric Ries book, The Lean Startup I examined companies that have launched new products and services with disappointing results such as IMUV. I’ve also studied companies that have provided outstanding new products and services. I learned what made them successful like The Lean Startup process. I learned how to understand product design tips, such as understanding the problem and needs of your customer. Making sure to critique your products and services to solving the problem or need of the customer. After understanding this process I created a professional pitch video targeting my clients and customers.
