Nona & Lucanis:

Ohoho, so. You know this already, but for everyone else-- my original plan was for Nona to romance Lucanis (but Lemon told me to wait until I met Davrin before making my final decision).

I think Nona and Lucanis might have had an interesting dynamic in time, but there would be a long stretch where Nona would be doing a great deal of care-taking when it came to Lucanis's well-being and emotional state. She can't help it-- this is who she is as a person. But unfortunately I think, with time, this dynamic simply would not last. They wouldn't mean for it to fade (or even maybe become a little resentful) but I just think their relationship would reach a point where they weren't actually taking care of each other, but going through the motions of handing the weight of each others' baggage back and forth.

So, while I think they would bring together two very different brands of spooky, this relationship would end up laid to rest.

Gigi & Davrin:

OHOHO okay, now you're coming for me. I. Love this AU pair. So much. Gigi and Davrin have such an unexpected charge between them, something energetic and something alive. They push each other, rile each other, and end up supporting one another in ways that I don't think either of them necessarily expect from the other person.

Here's the kicker: I think Davrin is one of the few romance options that could actually talk Gigi out of leaving the Crows. Like, of her own volition, helping her see that there's a broader world beyond her ambitions, that sailing doesn't have to be something she does just a few days a year, and that she stretch herself beyond the boundaries of Antiva.

Love, love, love this pairing, and I think they'd make for fine hunting partners. (and maybe one day we can share more about the au where gigi ends up with a shard of andruil and dav ends up with a shard of ghilan'nain)

15. Who did the Warden choose as the new King of Orzammar and why?

Ok, so this is such a complicated question to answer for her, because she fucking hates Bhelen for what he did. And mostly, it's because she didn't get to do it first. Trian was a piece of shit, she and Bhelen both hated him. The two of them grew up close in age and temperament, usually relied on each other against their older brother, but when Bhelen betrayed her, she was furious. Because they could've done this together, they could've taken out Trian in a way that didn't break their father's heart. But Bhelen was blinded by power, he didn't think. When she returns to Orzammar, as much as she hates her brother, hates what he did to her, she does choose him to lead Orzammar. Harrowmont is a terrible choice, she never liked him even before she joined the wardens. As much as it killed her, she crowns Bhelen king.

Jackdaw and Lucanis first, because it's really easy to answer with not in a million years. Lucanis moving in to the Lighthouse marks the worst day of Jackdaw's life, and believe me there is a ton of competition for that title. he is a crow in the era of her life where she finally has a chance to get away from the crows, for which she's going to resent him automatically even if her makes her dinner (it's not even *that* good of a dinner if you ask her). also a crow who's actually fine with being one, which is the biggest crime of them all. what do you MEAN you do not fall into despair thinking about the pointlessness of our job and everything we do. fuck off!

Ghilasara and Neve under the cut because oncce again this got Long...

Ghilasara 100% finds Neve attractive and took those few early flirts, but any hope for a relationship died when she chose to save Treviso. not because I think Neve is so staunchly against it, but because Ghilasara just has such heavy guilt about it that she isn't capable of properly looking in Neve's eye ever again. with eye contact being very important to her during sex, you have to understand that relationship simply would never work out.

however! I've actually been thinking about how in the original version of the game both cities were under the thread of getting blighted. Ghilasara's choice is dictated by her being a warden first and foremost, and if it came to choosing between a bigger city getting blighted and a smaller one, she'd choose to save Minrathous. which means something with Neve becomes possible :)

her own view on falling in love is that you should enjoy what you've got while you've got it because life is short, and everything is going to fall out of your hands anyway, so why not be happy at least for a little while before it gets torn away from you. Neve has sort of an opposite view of things, where she'd rather not do something she knows is likely to cause pain in the future. you can imagine those views clash initially. but Ghilsara would 100% be capable of breaking down Neve's walls and becoming someone who shows up.

problems come post-canon as they always do, because Ghilasara is a warden first before she's anyone's lover. and Neve is Dock Town's first before she's anyone's else's.

RED— What is the easiest way to make your OC angry?

Ivy: Hovering behavior, whether it be from pestering or just overly checking in on them consistently. Good intentions or not Ivy will get annoyed very quickly and will snap .. they just want to be left alone at times!

Illyana: Incompetence. After being with the Wardens for as long as she was and forming into a leader, Illyana simply cannot take bullshit. You either know what your doing or you don't and if you joke around she will have you dealt with. She has no time for the nonsense.

PURPLE— Does your OC have a commanding presence?

Ivy: Nope. Which pisses Ivy off more than anything because they want to be taken seriously but unfortunately it takes a lot for some to sit and listen to them at times. Not that Ivy has the patience for that though, you will listen to them whether you like it or not.

Illyana: Yes! As much as she doesn't want it, she is unfortunately a Commander, the Left Hand of the Divine’s very known lover and a slayer of an archdemon so whether she likes it or not that presence is rightfully earned!

cheekbone. what makes them smile?

Ivy is pretty friendly, and loves to laugh, so there's really a host of things that make her smile. If you asked her, she would say something like "seeing a kid get immediate karma" aka a kid misbehaving in public tripping and falling -- however she's lying, she actually gets concerned for the kid and only laughs once she knows they're okay (gotta maintain her tough exterior!!!). Realistically, what makes her smile is her friends, sharing jokes and laughs, or when Lucanis brings her little gifts like he often does.

fibula. do they ever feel overlooked?

As the younger sister of a disabled sibling, I think she does occasionally feel overlooked -- more so when she was a kid, probably. She always had a good relationship with her sister, Olivia, so I don't think she resents her at all, but it was a source of arguments in childhood for sure. In her adulthood she's less worried about getting attention, and in fact prefers to fly under the radar since a lot of her work relies on stealth and reconnaissance. She hates to admit it, but she is a bit needy, so when Lucanis is particularly busy with First Talon Things TM she will get a bit irritable and require a bit of extra attention to help smooth it over.

1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I knew I wanted to play a Mourn Watcher, and I knew I wanted to play someone who brought softness to the role of Rook. I wanted a caretaker that would struggle with the more brutal demands of leadership, but refuse to back down from her calling.

3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character’s name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

Her appearance! As can be seen with a lot of my characters, many of them started as Rooks but did not become Rooks in the end. Nona, though, has always stuck with being the Rook. And her name came after her appearance was all set and settled in the CC (though I've made minor tweaks to her appearance during my second time playing her in VG).

12. Do you have a playlist for the character? What songs do you associate with them and why?

Ohhhhhh yes I do!! ❤ Nona's playlist can be found here! The songs on this playlist were chosen specifically to tell her story, from her time at the Necropolis, to being forced to leave, to the story through Veilguard and after. A lot of her songs tend to be softer, with strong vocals -- I strongly associate her with music from Aurora.

8. What's Rook's favorite things their partner can do for them in bed (hair pulling, pinned wrists, etc)? Is there something they don't like at all?

Ava is a huge fan of dirty talk. She's good at it, even if her partner doesn't do it well, she can turn herself on by being the one to whisper dirty things in her partner's ear. But she absolutely loves getting it reciprocated. She won't do gags. Or anything where she's the one tied down unless she absolutely trusts her partner. She's also not into humiliation, her or her partner.

26. What do they usually do after? Are they a couple that likes to cuddle?

Before their relationship, I would say no, she didn't like cuddling after. She never stuck around post-sex, most times it was something quick and she and her partner never did it again. But with Lucanis, it's different. She's more willing to be held, to lay around after, to snuggle and smooch and just be with each other.

13. Do they prefer foreplay or are they impatient?

Gigi actually quite enjoys foreplay! She likes a slow tease, a little exploration, and maybe even a bit of laughter. It all serves as a build-up to the big moment! That and foreplay helps Gigi really get into the moment and settle in her own skin, to make sure she doesn't fall back into training too readily. Buuuuuuut every now and then, she gets very impatient and just wants it now.

20. Have they ever had a threesome? If not, would they? With whom?

They have and they absolutely would again, hehe. You know Dasha has been invited along to play (maybe more than once) with the two of them, and she'll probably receive additional invitations in the future. Nona is also very open to inviting others in to play occasionally-- she's adventurous! And I think Davrin only encourages her, hehe.
