hello! 11 & 20 for the book asks? 😊
hi!! thanks! 😊
11. What was your favorite book that has been out for a while, but you just now read?
haha i feel like this is every book i read because i rarely read things "on time". i'll say Robin Hobbs' Farseer trilogy; i did not expect to get so into a random fantasy series from the 90s, but i really, really loved it, and one of my 2026 goals is def to get into the rest of the Realm of the Elderlings books!
20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?
hmmm i don't want to repeat myself on GGK, but i had been looking forward to that and it did bum me out! so i'll say The Hymn to Dionysus, by Natasha Pulley. i am a huge Pulley fan and i was excited about this one, and it did not disappoint! it's probably in a theoretical top 10 for the year. her fun anachronisms and language choices just hit so well for me, and i'm obsessed with the romance she built (as usual, no one writes emotionally stunted third degree yearns like she does).
ask me book things!
