Freddy could tell this guy was at least honest in terms of him not remembering who certain of the missing persons were. He would not have blamed him if he could not remember all of the names off his head. From what the gallade was telling him it sounded like there were a decent chunk of them going missing. “That would help immensely. If it is at all possible, tell me any addresses of any leads and I will see what I can find.”
“My name is Freddy Pancotta.” He pulled a card from a stack of business cards on his desk and handed one out to the bulky psychic type. “If you have a phone, you can call me via that number, then come back here provided you give me a heads up.”
“As for who will handle this, either I or my employee Lenox will be the ones to handle this.” He tapped on his holoclip and spoke into it. “Hey Lenox. Mind coming to my office right now?”
After a few seconds to one minute of silence, the big hawlucha entered the office. “You needed to see me?” Her eyes went towards Alyx for a brief moment. She already pieced what this was about. A job. “Len this is Alyx. He has hired us to follow certain people who might be involved in some disappearances of fighters. Like MMA and wrestlers that kind of thing.”
Len stepped towards the gallade. “It is a pleasure to meet you Alyx.” The hawlucha extended her hand towards the client. “He doesn’t know exactly who it is yet, but he said he will report back to us.” Freddy said. The merc turned to face Alyx. “She is one of my most agile fighters and if it requires more than one person, I will help as well. Do these conditions satisfy you?” Len may be in time frame where she was frustrated with Freddy, but she still took the compliment well. Even if it was muddied by some poor decisions he had recently made, especially in relation to Gwen’s situation.
The pale swordsman eyed the Hawlucha coolly, taking his hand out to meet with hers in a firm, formal grasp. She definitely seemed like a powerful yet level-headed member, and given her size and strength, he could easily see her being a combatant in the fighting league he’s a part of.
“Pleasure’s mine,” he remarked respectfully, as he eyed Freddy once more on these conditions. His expression didn’t change; he seemed as relaxed before, but he did give an affirmative nod. Perhaps there’s hope yet, he just has to do his part first.
“Sounds like a deal to me,” as the Gallade eyed the business card once before slipping it into his right pocket. He then turned his shoulder over, about to head his way out, but he shifted his focus at the both of them. “Thanks for the contact info, I’ll definitely be keeping you both filled in on the scene. It’s gonna do wonders for the organization, as well as my family.”
With that, Alyx straightened his vest’s collar out and made his way to the exit. With business card in hand, he felt more invigorated to do some searching of his own, given he isn’t late on hearing about news as he tends to.
