Leica Lens Accessory Sizes

By Johnny Martyr When I got into Leica, I was a bit confused by the diameters listed for lens filters and hoods. Most other manufacturers just use one number. Nikon and Canon are usually 52mm. Pentax and Olympus are usually 49mm. Alot of Leica lenses are 39mm. But you’ll often see filter size for Leica lenses listed as E39 or, for the same lens, something like A42. What is up with this? Hey folks! Been a while. Well a lot of things happened including my Birthday but the main reason I haven’t uploaded these couple months was because of my job. Lately I’m trying to schedule myself but I still haven’t figured out a good schedule to get work done before or after my job. Anyone else figured out how to get passed this issue? Anyone?? Anyway this here is animatic of one of my projects. Ain’t pretty like the Gorillaz animatics, also screwed up Yankita’s hands, but I’m still training myself. Fixing issues and drawing the inbetween animation right now. The story is about Yankita Yak and Lens Cap, a reporter and cameraman prepping for the story of a life time or at least that’s what Yankita told her boss. Lens Cap is packing the equipment and, while making sure no ones listening, asks Yankita if she has the report prepared. Unfortunately, Yankita is not prepared much to the anxiety of Lens Cap, who doesn’t want to lose his job on risks and maybes, and nearly releases all the wool and fluff tucked under Yankita’s dress.
