Energy Update: Mercury opposed Jupiter retrograde and our upcoming Aquarius blue moon
Mercury in Leo opposes retrograde Jupiter in Aquarius today at 28 degrees. This sets the stage for the rest of this month leading up to our full moon at 29 degrees Aquarius on 8/22.
During the full moon, the Sun will be opposed Jupiter and the Moon will be conjunct Jupiter. With Mercury leading the way, we are getting a bit of a preview of what might come up for us during this highly dynamic blue moon. It would be wise to pay attention to what comes up in your life today, looking at it with eyes wide open and really seeing it may help you to navigate the energies of the full moon better in two weeks.
Jupiter is called the great expander but when our red giant is retrograde, he can be the great boundary-maker. This may sound great if you are deep on the boundary train but it is actually a point of warning - Jupiter retrograde doesn't put into place healthy boundaries, he overdoes it (because he's still the great expander and he extra). These are the kind of boundaries we make when we are in pain, when we are fearful, when we have forgotten that our others deserve their own lives and to make their own decisions.
Jupiter retrograde is a cosmic reminder that we all have the right to state our own boundaries or rules but that our others have just as much right to say, no...I'm not going to do that. This may be at the forefront today as Mercury bring it into our mouths and into our minds through this opposition. Watch out for your others saying no to something that you have demanded of them. Watch out for call outs of unfairness - places where one person may be trying to control another for selfish reasons. Be aware of both of the demands you are making on your others and the demands your others are making on you.
Until we have been more self-aware, oppositions almost always play out in our interpersonal relationships. The example most relational to this retrograde Jupiter in Aquarius cycle would be - I feel out of control, so I control my partner, my parent, my kid, or my co-worker. The big flex is to step back and realize that you cannot control another adult human being - all that you are doing is bullying them.
The other big flex right now is to stay very aware and unreactive. When you other says "no" today (and again in two weeks), respect the no. They do have the right to make their own choices, no matter their relationship with you. It is very ill-advised to double-blind, make outlandish demands, or put your relationship on the line for their choice at this time - something has got to break, and you don't want it to be your relationship.
Likewise, own your own "No's" this week. Know your own boundaries while keeping in mind that if they don't involve your physical body, nobody else has to follow them. Make your choices for yourself - do what is right for you. Even if your others are demanding something different.
This astrological weather is EXTREMELY independent. We are smack in the middle of two Aquarius full moons - Aquarius is the sign of detachment. This is going to trigger anybody who struggles with codependence and enmeshment styles of attachment. We are being asked to honor our others as they are separately from who we want them to be or the part we want them to play in our relationships.
Though this energy is peaking today and again in two weeks on 8/22, I don't think that it is going to ebb in substantially in the in-between (and indeed it will be triggered again on this Saturday by our moon in Scorpio squaring off with Jupiter and the Sun). Stay aware and open if you can.

A SISTER SIGN STORY
So my sister and I came up with this theory that throughout the sister/opposite signs there’s a story to be told. (coincidentally our sun signs are also sister signs)
It’s more or less how you’d describe life or drastic events happening in life (which in this case, I’ll refer to as a war).
ARIES & LIBRA
They are the beginning phase of it all. The war that is about to commence. The main focus is on SELF first.
Aries is concerned with what can be done to defend oneself by thinking of oneself. The natural confidence and perhaps fearlessness is what allows for oneself to be ready for anything that is to come. Libra is concerned with what can be done to defend oneself and others. It’s like the little discussion you have with yourself before doing something. They are as much ready for the war as Aries, but they make sure everyone else is ready too.
Ultimately, they are the defenders.
TAURUS & SCORPIO
They are the second phase when you ask yourself what you have going forth in this war: The visible and invisible possessions you hold to protect yourself and have as an advantage for the war, and just generally for satisfaction.
Taurus is concerned with what visible possessions one holds, including material things, skills and talents, and anything that activates the five senses (touch, smell, sight, taste, hearing). Scorpio is concerned with the invisible possessions one holds, including thoughts, (that’s why you’ll find that most Scorpios are interested in depth, especially mental depth) intense and profound feelings, subliminal messages, and even sexual desires.
Ultimately, they are the possessors.
GEMINI & SAGITTARIUS
They are the third phase when you are now in, and have settled in this war. What tricks and games you can play to go about this. They deal with the mind and living through acting upon their thoughts (which is why you’ll find that they are quite playful). Also because that’s how you do basically anything on earth, you have to think and do.
Gemini is concerned with quick-thinking, the sharp mental thoughts one has and small activities to keep this war going while winning. They also are able to put themselves in any situation and get along with anyone because the war can require working together to win (which may also be why they’re known as the twins). Sagittarius is concerned with wider thinking, higher learning and wisdom from experience. They’re there experiencing the war and putting action in (fire sign) while hoping for the best (being ruled by Jupiter).
Ultimately, they are the intellectuals.
Side note: with both Gemini and Sagittarius, they are in the middle stage of all of this, which is why they don’t dwell into things for long, they are the two signs known for moving about life quickly and just having fun along the way.
CANCER & CAPRICORN
They are the fourth phase when you are done or in the near end of the war and you feel like giving up because of the bruises, the losses, the drained feelings. They are there to care for these things. (Also why they’re known as the mom and dad of the zodiac)
Cancer is concerned with caring for the bruises and drained feelings one has by listening with the heart and physically and emotionally taking care of one – as long as you’re feeling good, you good. Capricorn is concerned with physically taking care of one while being encouraging and supportive of the things one does or has done and gained, also being proud of the dedication and commitment one has put in – as long as you have fought good, you good.
Ultimately, they are the carers.
LEO & AQUARIUS
They are the fifth phase after the end of the war; when you start to look at yourself and those around you, becoming conscious of what this war has done – self-consciousness and consciousness of the masses.
Leo is concerned with the self, the true gains and achievements from this war and trying to make sense of how the war has shaped the self; being proud and happy with oneself after seeing the good in all of this (Leos are generally really optimistic). Aquarius is concerned with the people, being proud and happy with what the people have done (why Aquariuses are quite generous); trying to make sense of how the war has shaped everyone and everything (why they love change/difference/eccentricity).
Ultimately, they are the awakeners.
VIRGO & PISCES
They are the final phase after everything has happened, from gaining strength for the war, to what possession one has for the war, to engaging in the war, to taking care of the self after the war, to then reflecting the self and people after the war. Now it is about mending and curing everything for the end and beginning of something new.
Virgo is concerned with curing the people and visible environment, cleaning, organizing, and taking care of physical health. That’s why most (developed) Virgos have the urge sometimes to ask what’s wrong and have the ability do and say what’s right to help out. Pisces is concerned with curing the people internally and the invisible environment, sensing and being intuitive of their emotions, thoughts, and feelings. That’s why most Pisceans are deeply understanding and shy/relaxed to allow you to open up.
Hi lovely, hope you're having a sunny day ☀️ could you please do an analysis for leo sun, aqua moon? Also. Thank you so much for delivering such in-depth descriptions!! I'm sure that takes a lot of time and effort. So I super appreciate everything you do on this blog 💖 have a blessed end-of-the-week!
Hey there!!! 💖💖 Aaah thank u!! 💖💖 I’m kinda sick so I hope this skdjnfk will still be kinda in-depth?? ;; I’ll do my best nevertheless! 💖
[Below Cut: Leo Sun - Aquarius Moon 🦊]
Sharp, these people are soooo sharp
It’s almost intuitive how much they can ‘get’ or ‘read’ people-- not bc of anything specific but like-- generally taking notice of the world around them and having a deeply perceptive understanding of how people work y know?
These people are great at balancing sociability, net-working, getting to know those and be at the right place/right time, seeing opportunities for what it’ll be worthy of and taking advantage of it
As well as just---- not being taken a fool, or acting like a damn fool who’s gonna regret making that decision. Aquarius Moon gives them serious consideration to their principality, their goals their mindsets. For serious principality stuff like hanging out w/ a bad crowd, with people who are seriously despicable -- Leo/Aquarius generally knows whats the limit and when to stay away, they have good judgement even if they LIKE being morally ambiguous characters (a public persona)
Leo/Aquarius has good moral judgement on those, and is one of the thing they sway away from and generally speak strictly about. A few close rules/priority they hold themselves up for. They?? Like to keep people guessing, keep up with the fad and generally may have a more ‘active’ social life-style than most. Doesn’t mean they don’t go home and do their own shit, just means they’re good at keeping up w/ things, people, contact if they want to.
Other than that they CAN go a lil crazy with their actions, like deliberately so. They just wanna experience y know? See the other side, see and be whatever they can bc opportunities aren’t everywhere, u gotta make the best of it sometimes
Something about just being ‘unpredictable’ is fun-- bc they have a point to prove usually. A sharp remark or social-political criticism on something. These people may be contrarian, combination of theatric Leo with perceptive Aquarius makes for someone who sees beyond the scope of just ‘conventional’ and doesn’t care of ‘sheep-following’ habits of crowds/others
They blaze their own trail, style, but may still keep in mind the mainstream influence. They just....they like having this generally easy-going and approachable manner to them, mindless stuff too. Part of the ‘unpredictability’ is precisely knowing ‘what kind’ of conventional trends they’d like (like preferring certain pop artists/songs)
They also have a pretty ‘reformative’ attitude towards the things they pick up on, kinda like going ‘hmmm well how can i make this better’ or ‘whats the better option then?’
Keep in mind-- they may be critical people but they are also rather optimistic!! Would look at progress, ways to adapt/move forward rather than be stuck with a dead-end stance on something
They understand better than anyone that if you cast judgement that are end-all, be-all,--- or rather unproductive criticism (no matter how cynical you think you are) --you’re not doing anything productive in the world like that
People who complains and complains, thinks only of the negative and thinks everything is ‘bad/can’t change’ pisses them off the most, it goes against their entire moral integrity and mindset-- they themselves may be satirical or critical, but they’re not the type of person who would cast ‘bad judgement’ on others that would doom them with ‘permanency to your demise’ you know?
Always look at the realistic side, the opportunity side that could come if something gives/change. But they’re also the type of people who are inherently honest, and can’t lie/deceive or give false optimism to others if they truly don’t think it would ‘become’ that.
Despite being oppositions, these Leo/Aquarius people are rarely egoistic in their judgement. They aren’t fooled by their own narrow vision, they are rather self-examining and become fully enlightened/aware of their limitations- strengths and the possibility of a ‘different’ view all the time.
This is because Aquarius doesn’t allow their Leo the luxury of being brash/crass with judging others too quickly, so most of the time-- these people work in a way that is perceptive to themselves first (their own hardship, narrow-mindedness, limitations, strength) and then they bring that out into the real world and use it to give constructive feedback/conversation with others (demonstrative)
These people are fully aware of their naivety or being seen as naive sometimes, and they respect that. That’s their motivation/humbleness to keep things open-- keep their perspective big so they don’t close themselves down emotionally/developmentally to growth and self-realization y know?
Bc they KNOW their depth and weaknesses (also looking kinda naive) they tend to shrug off, or act ‘effortless’ in how they behave (’no big deal dont take it so seriously’) -- only pulling out these sharp insights sometimes when they need to turn serious or has a point to make for abit.
They’ve very careful/cautious on keeping up this front of ‘no biggie’ -- because they also don’t think life should be taken too seriously/down-trodden all the damn time. You have to experience both sides of the story, the fun mindless part and the sharp operative part (insightful part) as well.
Leo/Aquarius people also tend to treat everyone as equals, as you generally don’t like mistreatment or hierarchy between people-- you’d rather rely on your hunches/intuition of ‘context’ on how you should treat person to person -- like if they deserve respect, if you’re not going to listen to them, if they can handle a lil unpredictability and how you should generally ‘react’ around them--- you sometimes push the envelope, but you depend strongly on your intuition (or base “knowledge”) that you’re not “taking it too far”
(even if sometimes you do, but you’re a sweet-talker and can generally appeal back to those people. You don’t like to think you’re “sweet” you just like to think you’re “pragmatic and can read people” --- bullshit, you’re a sweet-talker and it has nothing to do with being logical or practical in any regards.)
One thing to note is that you think rather abstractly, or rather-- you prefer so much of the bigger picture you do not understand the methodical detailed approach to things. This can often make you impatient when you have to “slow down for the little things” and thus can make you forgetful sometimes, it also makes you a lil narrowed in your perspective. Since you thrive on coming off as argumentative/pride yourself in your “points” --you cannot listen to those who approach things in a detailed-oriented way, every-day down to earth way than you sometimes.
Alrightly, I hope this is good!! 💖 Thanks for sending it in!! 💖
I was motivated a few days ago by Moon transiting Leo sign to stop for a while and try to express my thoughts in a longer text about this sign. Why? Propably because, if it comes to my personal choices, energy of Moon in Leo belongs to one of my favourite. It usually brings more light (Leo is ruled by Sun) in the spheres of emotions, our inner nature, and try a bit to lighten the heavy burden that is also ingrained in the “dark side of the Moon”. Jung had associated archetype of Moon with “Shadow”/Id” which is very profound analysis of its role in horoscope. It assumes that Moon always refers to everything what is beneath the surface, what is hidden or...unconscious. This time I’m not really gonna focus on Moon itself or Moon in Leo. I want to delve into the meaning of Leo-Aquarius axis.
Leo stereotypically, is known for being one of the most expressive and easily recognizable signs from whole Zodiac wheel. Everyone, asked about Leo characteristics would say without a doubt that Leo is proud, attention-seeking and likes to dominate. Leo, perceived as a one of the most self-confident sign could really share this trait with others because the will power is absolutely bottomless.
On the contrary, Aquarius (ruled by couple Saturn/Uranus) is not a very popular sign if it comes to naming typical traits. Usually people say something about being weird, maybe reality detached but actually I never heard much about this sign. If you take some self-proclaimed astrologers they would say that Aquarius energy destroys all that is natural for Leo; warmth, optimism and will power because Sun is in detriment in this sign.
Leo, ruled by Sun is indeed energy that loves attention and recognition. The main problem or role with this axis is that: to have an opportunity to shine, you need other people that will admire you. With so much deep need to be on the top can only be fullfiled when others will recognize authority in you and push you to climb higher. Without it, you can only congeal looking in the mirror to have at least one devoted admirer. Someone could say that it is actually what is happening to these so-called “unevolved” types. Leo, disappointed by lack of people around who could follow on Instagram will try to “fake it till you make it” and post more pictures, commenting on profile from some also fake accounts.
And then you have Aquarius coming on a stage. An alien, outcast, experimenter is the sign of the mass, society, groups and exactly knows that all that is was old form (Saturn) will soon change into another form (Uranus). That is the reason these signs oppose each other and complete.
Leo needs attention and full understading from others to develop the best potential and to feel appreciated which can lead to very generous gestures but without it, this fire sign can burn itself on a stage, playing somebody who could sing: “[...]Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on “
Aquarius needs somebody who will show the way. This one of the most abstract signs needs to identify with someone just not to become a stranger in the crowd but to connect with other “freaks” and develop a great society, full of individuals with exceptional minds (which also refers perfectly to airy nature of the sign).
Stabilizing function of Saturn keeps bombastic Sun in a line to let him shine only in appropiate situations and warm, hearty nature of Sun lets Saturn energy be more open and freely from time to time.
ego issues fall into the leo-aquarius axis. leo has ego issues in who they are as a person. some leo's are so focused on themselves because they want to feel special in some way. leo's ego issues are more evident since leo is connected to traits like pride and showmanship. which can seem egotistical to others. but aquarius have a similar pride but not in the same way that leo might have. aquarius have pride in their thoughts. it's an air sign after all and air is all the mind. so their source of pride falls into the way they think, which they might see as "superior" or unique to others which is the reason they can be just as egotistical as leo. both signs just want to feel unique in their own way. leo as a person and aquarius in the way that they think.
Then they got the strangest surprise on this Night of
Nights.
It's never the Uranus type of surprises of the Water Bearers that cause the trouble in this 7-7 polarity-opposition carnival of the silly and the sublime between Leo and Aquarius. The problems are caused by other things. Let's approach the subject cautiously, sort of "back into it," in reverse gear, so to speak. I believe it will be unexpectedly worthwhile to devote a page or so of this compatibility chapter to the accomplishing of such a reverse effect. The Leos may growl a little in resentment at being shuffled a few paragraphs behind, but in so submitting they'll earn clusters of karmic stars in their Kingly and Queenly crowns, and diadems for their patience and humility - even though they really haven't any choice in the matter. (We wouldn't stand a chance if we gave them a choice!)
In the summer of 1978, I received a letter from an Aquarian reader named
Richard Ellsberry. At first I thought it must be postmarked Spica or Arcturus
- or perhaps Sirius (which really should be spelled Sirios, because of the
Osiris anagram mystery, you know, but it's been distorted, and will no doubt be
corrected later). However, the envelope was stamped Phoenix, Maryland. The
Phoenix figures. Maryland is incidental. Water Bearer Richard wrote, in part,
the following:
Dear Linda Goodman ... The observations you made in
your book Sun Signs concerning the kinks in the Aquarian
personality are quite remarkable. In the Aquarian Child
chapter, you say: "He has a kind of thing about clocks and
watches, so it may have something to do with a Time
Machine - a common Aquarian obsession."
Now, what I want to know is this: How in the hell did
you know I'm into a Time Machine??!! I've been working
on one for quite a while. It involves attempting to contact
People From the Future. The logic is that - if we can't go
to them, they will have to come to us. After all, THEY are
SURE to have Time Machines, right?
(Right on, Richard! Perfect Uranian logic.)
This concept started developing in my head when I
was 17, about 7 years ago. It's going to be in the works for
another 4 years, until 1982. I call it The Chrononautic
Society. I'd like to invite you and all your interested
friends to our first meeting with People From the Future on
Tuesday, the Ninth of March, A.D. 1982. This is not a
hoax. We shall produce the most spectacular reception
ever held in honor of People From the Future. Since they
are IN the Future, they will already have heard of our
efforts, and travel back in Time to attend. We shall have
gifts to offer them, such as works of music, and art - and
volunteers.
(Volunteers!!?? )
The probability for achieving contact in this daring
experiment...
(Daring? Now we have Leo's attention!)
... in this daring experiment is increasing as more
documentation is amassed (literature, photographs, tapes,
etc.). At present, the location of our meeting is unknown. I
shall keep you informed. Conditions may demand a
network of congregations around the Earth, interlaced by
AM radio and video. The date of 3/9/82 is chosen for its
coincidence of remarkable celestial events, such as THE
JUPITER EFFECT, being a rare moment when all of the
Sun's planets are on the same side; the advent of the
Aquarian Age; the temporary overlap of the orbits of
Neptune and Pluto; the twelve-year interim between
Kohoutek's & Halley's Comets - and the Full Moon. The
Chrononautic Society is a non-profit, open alliance of
artists, scientists, occultists and other visionaries. Its
emblem is the Two-Headed Serpent, which symbolizes the
Doctrine of Aborescence. This speculative thesis states that
Time is not quite linear, but branching - what
crystallographers call a "dendritic growth." This is not,
however, to imply that we are bound by any ideological
dogma. We heartily encourage all criticisms and
suggestions. Box #231 Phoenix, Maryland 21131, USA.
Unfortunately, we are not yet funded by Congress or
backed by the Rockefeller Foundation, so if you want a
reply, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Richard Ellsberry, bless you! You are my shining answer to all those who
ask me, "Are Aquarians really as far-out as you say they are?," to which I now
answer with a resounding YES! (Much further out, actually.) I've completed a
"reality check" on this Water Bearer, and I assure you, he is perfectly serious.
He has personal affiliations and contacts with several erudite and quite respectable men of impressive scientific achievement, knowledge and reputation - along with a number of perceptive and precognitive, although as yet unsung, "ordinary" Earthlings, such as yourself. So all you Water Bearers out there who dream of a Time Machine - this is your moment for miracles. Go forth! Write to Richard and become space buddies in Tomorrow. (Or Yesterday. Same thing. Remember your dendritic principles.)
I had a couple of excellent reasons for making this Aquarian Time Machine
information public. First - I think it's a marvelous idea, because astrologically,
astronomically and otherwise, the decade between 1982 and 1992 is going to
contain a number of shocks (especially for the uninitiated) and it's best to be
prepared. Also, it allows us to ponder the Leo-Aquarius relationship. I'm positive the Chrononautic Society is going to be inundated with as many requests for membership from Leos as from Aquarians. It's the daringness of the idea that will appeal to the Big Cats, whose middle names are Courage. Of course, you realize, I trust, that all Leo joiners will include in their resumes to the C.S. their own personal ideas of how the entire 1982 reception for People From the Future in this very "close encounter" should be organized and expedited. Obviously, the Keynote Speaker at the 3/9/82 Close Encounter should be one who is qualified as the Leader of such a distinguished and vast cosmic undertaking of such obvious galactic importance. Namely, a Leo. After all, is it not, in part, timed to the rare moment when the SUN'S planets are all on the same side - and is not the SUN itself the ruler of Leo? What could be more appropriate? Such a royal undertaking as the C.S. plans certainly can't be left to the bumbling and blundering of underlings and peasants. Only nobility is equipped to shoulder the grave responsibility of an effort of this magnitude.
That's more or less the attitude of any Lion or Lioness in dealing with
Aquarian people and Aquarian projects of all shapes and sizes, whether major or minor - whether consisting of filling the sandbox for the kiddies, building a
birdhouse, decorating an office, planning the school prom, plotting an advertising or a political campaign, producing a film or a play - or deciding on a stock merger between two huge conglomerates. It matters not. Leo will lead. Or Leo will take his or her sand bucket, stock certificates, swatches of material, balloons, wren house, screenplay or whatever - and find another kingdom over
which to rule where superiority is both welcomed and appreciated. Both respected and worshipped.
Normally, this won't bother the typical Water Bearers in the slightest.
They're really not terribly interested in being the Big Chiefs on the reservations.
They're more interested in the invention of new Rain Dances and such.
How to design a better Totem Pole. However, when these two Sun Signs do
clash over something - whatever it might be - the result could be likened to
a herd of Buffalo meeting head-on with a herd of elephants. A brick building
meeting a cement wall. Or two asses (using the biblical term) meeting nose to
nose. A most mulish and deadlocked scene. That is to say - both Leo and
Aquarius are Fixed. The Water Bearers, the Lions and the Lionesses share
the dubious distinction of having been born under Fixed Signs. This means
that they're as stubborn as crazy glue, and they won't budge their positions a
fraction of an inch when they believe they're right and justified in an opinion
or an action. Both Leo and Aquarius adore surprises. They're both progressive-
minded, both generous and magnanimous of spirit; both defend the underdog
and the minority voices of the turtles heard throughout the land. Both tend to be tall and handsome (or beautiful). Both are highly intelligent, friendly, quite gregarious - and fascinating talkers. Both like to protect the weak - both love and respect Nature. So far, wonderful! Everything is mellow, with soft purring and happy meowing from the Big Cats . . . and lots of fresh, sparkling cooperation brimming over from the little brown jugs of the Uranus-ruled Water Bearers.
Nevertheless, these two signs are opposed on the horoscopic wheel. One has
what the other lacks and can't stand to admit he or she needs. Normally. (Unless the Ascendents and Luminaries between their birth charts are cozy and harmonious - then they don't mind admitting their individual needs and trading
back and forth with each other.) What does Leo have that Aquarius lacks?
Personal warmth. A certain sense of dignity. Stability and dependability.
What does Aquarius have that Leo lacks? I know it's difficult to conceive
that Lions and Lionesses lack anything at all, inheriting as they have every virtue
under the Sun (their own ruler). But, alas, there is one gift of the gods they
don't possess - the humility to admit they may be guilty of a scattered fault or
two - that there may be a chipped diamond here and there among the rubies
and emeralds of their glowing positive traits and qualities. In brief, they aren't
overendowed with the ability to confess error or to accept criticism gracefully.
Leo would do very well to borrow from Aquarians a smidgen of their humility,
their detachment regarding criticism and their cheerful willingness to confess
their shortcomings. Tell Aquarians they're all geniuses, and they'll shrug,
completely unimpressed. Tell an Aquarian that he or she is crazy, and the Water
Bearer will nod pleasantly in the affirmative, delighted with the analysis -
and entirely unoffended. The flattering appraisal will ordinarily float in one ear
and out the other. But insinuate, even mildly, that Leos are less than superior
in any way, and it's "Off with your head!" They either roar or pout, and neither
attitude is becoming to royalty.
Conversely, Aquarius could benefit immensely by adopting some of Leo's
sunny and warm benevolence in personal relationships (a Water Bearer can be a mite cool at times, even to loved ones) by imitating Leo's dependability (it
would be nice to know the Water Bearers could be counted on to mean on
Thursday week what they took a blood oath on, on Wednesday last) and by assuming a trace of the Leonine poise and dignity. They don't have to go so far as to become sedate, mind you, but perhaps copy Leo's feline grace when they're walking around, so they won't bump into telephone poles so often - maybe stop standing on their heads while they watch a concert - tone down their purple hair - leave their quetzals at home when they go to church - things like that. Just a little poise and dignity. Not too much. Then they wouldn't be recognizable - and we certainly want them to remain recognizable, because it's hard enough as it is to identify them as members of the human race.
Since Leo and Aquarius were both born under the Sun Signs of the "Fixed
Organizer," they should share the organizational responsibilities of a business
venture, a romantic relationship, a Mind Trip or a Time Trip. They should each
let up more than a little on his or her personal Fixity, while retaining a Fixity of
purpose. However, although Leo is not a Cardinal Sign of Leadership (Leo is an
Organizer), Leo must lead the organizing - in some way that will appease the
gigantic ego of the Big Cats. Give Leo the title. That's all. Chief Rain Maker.
Chief Totem Pole Designer. Chief Communicator with People From the Future.
Chief Hairdresser. Chief Apostle. Fire Chief. Water Chief. Air Chief. Earth
Chief. Oberon, King of the Faeries. Titania, Queen of the Faeries. King of the
Jungle. Queen of Galactic Enterprises. Ruler of the Harem. Monarch of the
Castle. That's the general idea.
Then the Water Bearer will discover that nowhere on this Earth, nor in any
other galaxy or Solar System in the Past, Present or Future, will he (or she) find
a more brilliantly creative, intelligent, brave and loyal "buddy" than the Lion or
Lioness. It's really worth cultivating a little elasticity of the Aquarian Fixity to
gain such a friend for all seasons - all Time Barriers and Astral Levels.
Any Aquarians who don't believe me may just wait for Richard Ellsberry's
Close Encounter on March ninth, A.D., of 1982. When the People From the Future arrive, right on schedule, the P.F.T.F. Phoenix-resurrected Atlantean
Leader who greets Earthlings with a combination of the Hopi Sign language,
Swahili and Sanskrit will be a proud, noble and majestic Leo. (Yes, she will!)
Never mind that the Time Machine itself will have been designed by a P.F.T.F.
Water Bearer. Aquarians don't give three quarks who takes credit - as long as
they make the flight and arrive wherever it is they're going. Leo can travel First
Class all the way, but guess who will be sitting in the cockpit of the Laser
Beam?
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot speaking. I'd like to welcome you
aboard the Leo-Osiris Phoenix XIV. We'll be cruising at an altitude of three
hundred trillion miles per Earth hour, give or take a million miles or so, depending on the falling dust of Maldek - and flying at the speed of a number of Light Years. The stewardesses will pass among you to explain how to use your heads. We'll arrive at our destination at exactly a quarter-past three on Saturday next of last year, in time to celebrate Amory Lovins' birthday. On behalf of myself and my twin co-pilots, Howard and Robard, I wish you a pleasant journey. Be sure to keep your Nader seat belts buckled and bolted as we pass through the Space Warps - and don't forget to enjoy the view from your portholes, because on a clear day you can see Forever. Cheerio! Ciao! Roger over-and-in!"
"I believe in the rule of divine kings. And I believe that the divine king exists in every person."
The interpersonal divine king and the symbolic divine king, whether he be literal or figurative, co-create each other. Co-creation is the truest motion of rulership. That is, it is the truest motivation, and creates the most natural, beautiful shapes. From Leo, we learn about the source of beauty; from Aquarius, its motions
