Some art for a friends birthday over on Instagram a while back. I made an attempt to draw his attack on titan oc Leon Ancel in the style of Identity V (one of his favourite games). This was super challenging and I wish I could have spent more time on it, but I wasn’t able to. Maybe next time I can do better.

Celestine! Leon and his his sister Tori whose gem has yet to be decided! Perhaps another strontium mineral lol
Just for the sake of posting something - here are the original concepts for Hanji Zoe, Leon Ancel and Erwin Smith from the summer of 2018 along with the original descriptions!
Hanji Zöe/Axinite Hardness: 6.0-7.5 Hanji Zöe has perhaps one of the busiest gems. With a hardness of 6.0-7.5 on the Mohs Scale, she is a hardy gem who serves like just as much of a soldier as she does a scientist and researcher. She carries around a standard sword, and is certainly a very reckless fighter. But - she’s strong and can fuck w/ you so mentally hard that you’ll be wishing for death by the time she finishes interrogating and torturing you. Despite how eccentric and hyper she comes off to be, she is very kind and gentle when she wants to be - and has a heart as gold as her hair. Eventually, she winds up looking half of her face due to a Lunarian Attack, and serves as a soldier with only one eye.
Leon Ancel/Celestine Hardness: 3.0-3.5 A relatively brittle gem, Leon is far from as hardy as many of the gems his age. Born with incompletely formed legs - along with missing pieces in his left side, he is commonly inactive because he cannot stay conscious for too long due to his incomplete body. Despite his low durability - Leon is a very powerful soldier, known for being quite fast and light on his feet. He goes permanently inactive when the resources needed to keep him active run out, due to there being no evaporite minerals that his body won’t reject to fill his holes. His body is stored in the catacombs - and it is said that when it’s windy at night, the wind going through the cavities in his body almost sound like cries of distress.
Erwin Smith/Pyrope or Some Kind of Ruby Hardness: 7.5-8.0 Prior to Hanji Zöe - Erwin was the gem who was the so-called leader. A tactical genius, Erwin Smith is willing to risk it all for the sake of finding out the secrets of the Lunarians. With a hardness of 7.0-7.5, Erwin is far from the strongest gem his faction of gem soldiers - but he is respected for his sharp mind and his wits. He lost his right arm in the ocean after a Lunarian Attack, and has not been fitted with a new one since. He fits with his left hand, using a very unique sword which appears somewhat like a cutlass? When he is fatally damaged, he is put on the catacombs - near the other previous and deceased leaders of the Scouting Gems.

Then I read the character description for this dude and I really found it fascinating that he sleeps in the catacombs (I think I read it wrong). He's a really cool character and was really fun to draw.
