April Showers Bring May Flowers: Except That Flower is Leon Davis

Corland Bay had some of the nicest weather; that was a fact.
A promise of sunny skies led you to agree to your best friend's offer to go to the beach and spend some much needed time together. Your time had been monopolized enough!, you decided upon arrival, watching their face crinkle into soft amusement. It was long overdue! You were going to take control of your own fate!! Someone had it out for you it seems since it didn't long after the pair of you had gotten some cotton candy, it began to shower. Hard.
It was totally worth it seeing the sheer delight on Leon's face as your conjoined laughter flew behind you while you both dashed down the street to take refuge under a store's awning, using your lovely coat as a cover.
"So-!", he managed through a chuckle. "What was that about taking control of your fate, darlin'?" It was cute, seeing how his eyes lit up at the sight of you. The sparkles that danced in his pupils at the situation, the way you clung onto your cotton candy- shielding it oh so protectively from the dastardly rain. Maybe he thought the same way. You wouldn't blame him- even as you took a vengeful bite in reply. "I'm still taking control of it! I'm just…adapting, is all!", you shot right back with a grin, offering a bite of your treat which Leon graciously accepted by getting the majority of it in one bite. You gasped, seeing as there was only a silver of a piece left- one you shook in his face, making the juxtapose of the crime more apparent. Never mind how his grin only deepened- trying to angle his face away as he chewed.
Ok so maybe you weren't adapting all thaaat well.
The only reason you were sharing though was because the rain had successfully sniped his within seconds. A scene you could only name as a cartoon made reality.
You missed these silly moments.
There was a certain connection you could only have with someone who's known you since you were in diapers. It wasn't something anyone can replicate. They'd seen you since day 1. They've seen all of you - give or take. The good and the bad. So despite all of that, you were grateful you could have someone like that.
Someone like Leon.
