Leonard and Daniel, January 2026
Leonard is my best friend, he’s my pal. He’s my home-boy, my rotten soldier. He’s my sweet cheese, my good-time boy. Definitely the reason why I watched all of Grantchester. I couldn't stop thinking about this sweet little moment for days after I saw it.
I know there's plenty of time for this to change, but there's something delightful and refreshing about Leonard and Sidney living in the same house, sharing a bathroom, and not only is Sidney never worried about Leonard being attracted to him, but Leonard never is.
Oh, that smokeshow who is always wearing less clothing than everyone else? No, I haven't noticed him.

I still think about how Leonard gifted Will a framed picture of Marlon Brando
I have just binged 10 seasons of Grantchester, and am rather obsessed with Leonard Finch. It does feel like the show doesn't know what to do with Leonard and Daniel sometimes, but Leonard doesn't really know what to do with himself after the church kicked him out.
Leonard is so loved, but still so insecure, even after all this time. I worry he believes the people who call him an abomination and a perversion. Those are the voices loudest in his head.
I hope season 11 can convince me Leonard finally is at peace with himself. I appreciate Geordie trying to be a better dad, but I hope David latches onto Leonard. Having a kid emulate him would help Leonard realise he was never a tough kid to love.
Leonard would be such a good parent, so understanding and caring. I wish him and Daniel could run a foster home together, but I know that isn't realistic.
It just feels like Leonard constantly feels like he isn't good enough. There's a church-shaped hole in his life. I hope this final season can convince me Leonard is at peace with who he is and what he does. I need my blorbo to be okay.
Im pretty sure that church in Grantchester has been ordained by God to attract every single vicar with a broken home life.
Like you got daddy issues?
Come on in!
Abandoned as a child ?
That’s okay ! The church has a built found family !
