top gun silliness
As much as pilots like to brag to eachother about their greatest hits, RIOs like to bitch about their idiocy and reputation destroying displays of vulnerability. To an extent, of course.
Slider is like an uncrackable safe, no one can get a word out of him about Iceman. Goose has known them long enough to stay quiet, and attempt to disway anyone else from trying to get dirt on Ice.
Wolfman is adamant that he'll get through to Slider eventually, his optimism is both charming and naive. He does, however, feel inclined to tell everyone about the time Hollywood accidentally sneezed in a woman's face when flirting with her in a bar.
Ron will never say a thing about Tom for multiple reasons, one being loyalty and the other being that time he got disgustingly drunk and vomited down the man's shoulder when Tom was trying to lug him home. His pilot has been kind enough to keep that story to himself, Ron doesn't feel like testing the boundaries of that kindness.
And because the crack in the Iceman's armour isn't a drunken story, a failed attempt at flirting or an incident at the academy.
It's the time he went to Tommy's to find a little bowl of water on the man's porch and an empty bowl beside it. When prodded for an explanation, Tom told him about a stray kitten that wanders around. A skinny little thing without a home, who Tom has taken it upon himself to water and feed. Something he explains with the shrug of his shoulders and an, "I'm not fucking heartless."
They take to calling it Tomcat.

big fan of how hollywood and wolfman wear matching polos under their flightsuits
I just think Wolfman would be really into 90s/2000s boy bands and pop in general. His favorite song is One in A Million by bosson and he blushed when Hollywood pointed out he kinda looks like him. He's also the first one of the flyboys to buy an mp3 player.
Following In His Footsteps
Requested: yes
Summary: Wolfman, your father, watches you graduate from Top Gun. Just like he did many years ago.
Word count: 0.7k
Warnings: anxiety? Not really any.
Pairings: Leonard ‘Wolfman’ Wolfe x daughter!reader
You were surrounded by crowds of people as you made your way through the doors of the area where the graduation would be held. Based on the pictures you had seen, it was exactly the same as when your father graduated nearly thirty years ago. Nerves racked through you as you twisted your Annapolis ring around your finger.
An absolutely gorgeous, beautiful, perfect in every way commission of the HollyWolf boys from @blurrwar
I can’t even express how perfect and adorable this came out!!!! ✨Them✨
There was absolutely nothing heterosexual about the "this gives me a hard on" / "don't tease me" scene in Top Gun.
Plus, the way Hollywood looks at him in this scene? Also nothing heterosexual about it.
In conclusion: Hollywood and Wolfman were dating in Top Gun and I will not take any criticism on this.
