What do you love about the industry? The industries for makeup artistry are so creative and continually changing. The techniques of artists, the products from companies, and the technology we work in are all continually moving.  The retro can be as exciting as the immediate. Whether we are creating a great beauty makeup, a wonderful character makeup, or an exciting special makeup effects character, the end result is that they all come to life. Every great artist is challenging every other artist to be great.

What advice would you give to every makeup artist? Find the passion for what you do and keep it on fire. That is how you grow.  Sometimes it can be hard, but to succeed you have to find the way to constantly kindle the fire.  This program is one of the ways. Catch fire!

What is your key to success? I have always wanted to be an excellent makeup artist and have strived to stretch beyond what was called for.  I try to keep my passion for the art by attending as many demonstrations and events as possible – you always learn whether it is what to do, or what not to do. I view a lot of films through the year to see what others are doing and to show my respect. I am excited about the artistry of other makeup artists in all their many areas. I always respected every artist, and with that respect I feel I have also gained respect.
