is Wick in your main lair? I want to see Wick sim :)
Wick — Lantern's Light
In Lantern's Light, one's only as good as their ability to be of use, or the breadth of their wallet- and Wick certainly can't say that he's particularly endowed in regards to the latter. With regards to his usefulness, however, he stands just about unmatched in those ever-darkened, ever-hazy streets.
Errand boy, tour guide, rumor keeper, foolish scrap of fodder- Wick has served as it all, though he does draw the line at "thief," among other things. He's content to do honest work for close-enough-to-honest pay, especially considering that most of his employers don't exactly have the fullest coffers either. It doesn't take a genius to realize that those in the city who do have funds to spare would bleed folks like him dry for some quick coin rather than recognize all he has to offer.
Still, even an unintentionally streetwise bloke like Wick can develop a blind spot here or there. More than once, he's accepted quick delivery jobs without realizing that his cargo may not have been turned over by the cleanest hands- not that it's his fault, obviously, but no one who confronts him ever seems to be all that interested in talking it out. For those situations, Wick takes on another role; master of escape.
...Unfortunately, "master of checking which floor he's jumping from the window of" hasn't quite been added to his repertoire yet. But, fortunately, there's always been a next time to practice.
Completed Wick and Moth today! Feels really good to actually get some projects done from scratch, especially in one of my favorite areas of my lair.
As a sidenote, putting gem pieces on last gave me a temporary glimpse of Moth prior to his scars.
With a worse tert... he could have easily ended up like this! I love the dark tones, especially on his face. He's still plenty handsome with his scars, though.
Moth: You know, I don't get why we put up with these nicknames. They're only meant to demean us, everyone treats us like failures!
Wick: Really? I don't think it's too bad.
Moth: Well, yours isn't as insulting, I'm actually being mocked for the shit I've been through. And with the burn scars to prove it, too...
Wick: What's your real name, then?
Moth: ...Icarus.
Wick:
Moth:
Wick: so
Moth: But it's fine if you call me Moth, because... you know, you... you don't mean it like that.
Commonplace and necessary as scavenging is in the Wasteland, there's no doubt that the job is neither luxurious nor respected- with words like "fodder" and "low-life" freely thrown around, it's obvious why the few and far between that are the Wasteland's elite try to distance themselves from it.
Except, of course, those that know better.
No, not those who see the honesty or individuality in dragons' eyes, or those who have risen through the ranks, but those who know that a self-governed company is good as dead. And dead, well, dead simply doesn't work in the Wasteland. So, rather, it is those that have good business sense and a strong head on their shoulders that keep a company alive, its heart pumping that precious gold and its lungs working those precious gems that let a quaint little company grow into a fierce beast of a conglomerate. There's no shame in buyouts or partnerships, after all; if there's any downsizing to be done, it'll always be a little shaved off the bottom, not the top.
She's never gotten her claws dirty digging through scraps, or gotten sick from riding in a shoddy truck over that fleshy soil. But she has shared drinks in cushy homes, been invited to opulent showcases, talked business and gossiped with more experienced bosses, most of whom welcomed her with open arms.
And she doesn't even have to spare a single thought for all that fodder beneath her.

(No name for her yet! Suggestions would be appreciated... Or questions!)
dragons for my eventual new tab/city
So I also 😫 but you need to explain yourself what do you mean -Spongebob-???
what do you mean what do I mean spongebob
I have three whole spongebob fandragons... I bring up Bobbie more than Sandy and Karen but like. they've BEEN here. for like a year. bobbie's hatchday was the 5th
and completely unironically!! jesus never assume I have these ironically. I genuinely love SpongeBob alot (which I've also mentioned before). and I think the fact that I 1) have fandragons for spongebob 2) have them completely and, very vocally, unironically 3) have them in my lore, should mean that you should not be worried that I'll judge you for anything. like legitimately speaking I probably can't because you'll always have something to hold against me, which is the aforementioned spongebob fandragons. and genuinely enjoying starlight express, and some other things
