A stunning leopard approaches... Solitary and secretive, leopards are tough to find but the absolute beauty and sheer power of this predator is readily apparent once sighted. Unlike lions, leopards hunt solo, relying on stealth through grasses and bush to launch a surprise attack from close range; they will often get to within less than a couple of metres of their unwitting prey. The challenge continues even when successful though, as lions, hyena and a variety of scavenger birds will harass a leopard for its prey, meaning the cat often uses incredible strength to haul its catch into the branches of a tree. Whilst on your game drives, it’s always worth paying special attention to the trees, on the off chance you’ll be rewarded with a sighting! . We are building the KrugerExplorer App! It will be a beautiful wildlife field guide with detailed profiles and photos on 300+ animals plus a routes guide with 60 of our favourite routes detailed with explanations on the landscape and what wildlife you might be able to see! It will be available in Q1 2019 and there is loads more info on our website (see above bio link) - please check it out! 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 .
