Batflight, Leopardshade, and Dewfall are three cats
they have three kits
Idea: each kit is named after one parent (the ones who got them to trust again)
Rose
Lion
Rain
So either Rainbat, Rainflight, Rainshade, Rainfall
Lionflight, Lionshade, Liondew, Lionfall
or
Rosebat, Roseflight, Roseleopard, Roseshade, Rosedew, or Rosefall
(I like Rosebat and Roseleopard but can't pick between them)
@starfalcon555 since you own Dew
@ambitiousauthor since you own the kits
I think Leopardshade should be the opposite of Webstripe
When I first created him, I imagined he would be a donor/surrogate for many cats, and I still like that idea
So like Webstripe, he fathers a lot of kits
but unlike Webstripe, he actually cares about each and every kit. Though he's 'donor, not dad,' he still visits all of them regularly, making sure they're doing okay and that they know they're loved, etc. etc. He also offers to babysit if needed or collect supplies for them or the parent/s (but is careful never to cross boundaries set by the parent/s)
And his partners also come to visit with him every now and again!
-
I guess another way to put it is that Web does it for the baby-making, while Leopardshade does it for the babies. Web's reasons are to satisfy himself and make himself feel good, while Leopardshade genuinely likes helping out cats who want kits

(side note: ironic that one is striped and the other is spotted. kinda funny)
@starfalcon555
also unrelated but I think leopardshade should get a boyfriend or two
perhaps throw him into a poly with batlight and dewfall? :333
! :D yes!
What if they both start crushing heavy on this guy without knowing the other is crushing. They don’t make any moves but it’s enough to make them feel guilty so they talk to the other like “I have something to tell you…I love you and I want to stay with you but I feel something for someone else and I can’t help it..I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. I’m fact, I….I feel something towards someone else. Not stronger than you! I love you more than anything! But I keep thinking about them and it makes me feel so guilty….”
“Who do you feel this for??”
“His name is Leopardshade—“
“ME TOO!”
(or they say Leopardshade at the same time)

Story:
From the moment he was born, he had everything handed down to him.
He was both the leader and the deputy's son, and due to their closeness with the Clan's medicine cat, he was close to her as well. It didn't matter how sick or injured anyone else was. If Leopardkit so much as had a cough, he was top priority--his mother made sure of it.
The Clan was not happy with that, but she was the leader and her word was law. Besides, they couldn't blame her entirely. Leopardkit had been the only survivor of her fourth litter, and none of her previous kits had ever made it to their tenth moon, so of course she would be...extra protective.
But that protectiveness came at a cost, and that cost was her Clanmate's sanity, because the moor her son was coddled, the more of an arrogant ass he became.
Leoaprdshade could never be wrong.
Every game had to be played his way, and as a kit he would run to his mother if he ever lost, even if the others were playing by the rules. But Mudstar would always come over and scold the kits for upsetting her son.
He would never be given the tough chores as an apprentice. If any warrior tried to ever make Leopardpaw do something he didn't want to, he would simply refuse because he had the luxury to do so. If anyone tried to lecture him on his behaviour, they got an earful from the leader or deputy.
And if another apprentice complained, he never missed an opportunity to get one of his parents to punish them.
As a warrior, he almost stopped contributing to the Clan entirely. He hated to work, so why work? Instead, he stayed in camp sleeping for as long as he desired, ate as much as he wanted to, and only joined in the battles that he wished to join--which was pretty much none of them.
No one in the Clan wished him dead, but it was safe to say that he was no one but Mudstar's and Fringespot's favourite.
If he knew, he didn't care. They were all below him anyways.
It should be obvious why Dustglint didn't like him back, but he didn't understand.
He was the greatest warrior in the Clan! The strongest, the smartest, the handsomest! Yet she spent all her time with stupid Firetuft, an ugly-furred idiot! The two would nuzzle affectionately and curl their tails together....it made Leopardshade want to barf.
On a walk--not to hunt, of course, just to stretch his muscles--Leopardshade spotted Firetuft and confronted him, demanding to know how he tricked Dustglint into liking him. In response, Firetuft snapped that no one would love such a pretentious, bratty excuse for a cat that should have never become a warrior.
Enraged, Leopardshade leaped at him with teeth and claws. Firetuft was dead before it set in that Leopardshade was killing him.
Cleaning himself of the blood, he rushed home and explained the situation to his mother, who helped him take care of the evidence. Firetuft was later found on the border with ShadowClan, resulting in a war. It didn't matter for Leopardshade. He didn't have to fight.
But even with Firetuft out of the way, Dustglint still didn't notice Leoaprdshade. She grieved alone for some moons, ignoring Leopardshade's attempts to spend time with her, until she became close with Fennelleaf.
Well, Leopardshade already knew how to take care of that problem...
He overheard Torneagle, Fennelleaf's son, expressing his own distaste over the union. Apparently he was bitter about his mother's death and was furious at his father for moving on and being happy. Talking with the other tom, the two formed a plan that involved a raven and yew berries.
The plan didn't fail after that so much as it became useless.
Dustglint became swallowed by grief. She rarely left her nest, rarely groomed herself, and was overall a massive downer. Plus when she no longer kept her fur nice and sleek, she looked awful.
Disappointed, Leopardshade moved on.
He also became paranoid. He could trust his mother because she wouldn't dare tell the Clan what he had done. But could he trust Torneagle?
What if he regretted killing his father?
What if he couldn't keep his mouth shut and told someone--out of guilt or otherwise?
If the Clan knew what he had done, they would be angry, too angry for either Mudstar or Fringespots to be able to protect him.
No, he couldn't risk it.
He had to get rid of Torneagle.
It was as simple as putting two yew berries in his half-eaten meal while he was distracted. Leopardshade figured that Torneagle would be suspicious if he had suddenly become kind enough to give someone a meal, especially after what they had previously done with food.
Three cats dead, and all for nothing.
There was something that constantly itched at Leopardshade's mind, something he couldn't place but that never ceased to bother him.
It was unexpected, but not unwelcome, when Darkmoor showed an interest in Leopardshade. After all, everyone liked him, whether or not they were willing to admit it. Darkmoor was obviously smart enough to do so, and lucky enough she was quite the looker, too!
It was with her that Leopardshade thought he could finally confess to. His parents didn't matter, he knew what they would say, and that made telling them meaningless. But Darkmoor....he loved her, truly did after spending so much time with her, and he wasn't sure what compelled him to do it, but he told her everything.
He told her about how he had killed Firetuft in a rage, how he had deliberately killed Fennelleaf and then Torneagle.
Of course, he would have kept his mouth shut if she knew she would have gone straight to Dustglint.
When Leopardshade returned to came after lazing about in a patch of ferns, he was confronted in the centre of camp. Dustglint demanded to know if it was true, and demanded if Mudstar had really covered up the murder of one of their Clanmates.
Leoaprdshade tried to deny it at first, but he was a terrible liar, and already unpopular in the Clan. Besides, it didn't add up. He was the only other cat in the forest when Firetuft died before he ran back to camp and straight to Mudstar's den, never explaining why he had made such an entrance. He was talking with Torneagle, who he never talks to, before the latter gave food to Fennelleaf before dying before the end of the day. Then after that, Torneagle happens to die in the same manner.
The camp broke out into a vicious battle amongst Clanmates. Some loyal warriors defended Mudstar and Fringespots, some because they were friends, others because it is what StarClan would have surely expected of them. She was their leader, after all, and he their deputy.
But most have had enough.
Including Dustglint, who easily tackled Leopardshade to the ground.
As much as the spotted tom took pride in his strength and battle skills, he truthfully didn't have much. He hated training as an apprentice, and he was never made to do anything that he didn't want to, so he was a terrible warrior. There was no strength in how he had killed Torneagle and Fennelleaf, and he caught Firetuft by surprise.
Now, he was in a real fight, the first one he had ever experienced in his life, and he was losing badly. Dustglint held him down, mocking him with furious tears in her eyes as he struggled and failed to remove her. She insulted him, saying that she never would have loved a monster like him, and how he didn't deserve to be called a warrior.
Then she followed that up with a hissed, 'everyone in the Clans have been waiting for this!' before swinging her claws down and striking his exposed belly.
Additional Information:
--Darkmoor found out she was expecting the following night. She had a single daughter that would become Boragefreckle. It is unclear if there would have been other kits in the litter had she not been fighting, or if it happened to be small.
--Darkmoor never loved Leopardshade. She only became his mate because it would give her a higher status within the Clan. When the battle broke out, she fought on Dustglint's side.
--Both Mudstar and Fringespots were exiled. The Clan chose Dustglint (Duststar) as their new leader. She was accepted by StarClan.
--Duststar and Darkmoor later became mates.
--Torneagle and Mudstar both wound up in the Dark Forest, but they don't get their own profiles because neither survived long.
--I will make a post to explain his redemption!
