I'm soooo soooo bummed. 😩😩

A couple years ago I found this beaauuuuuuuutiful one shot LEORAI WEEK 2017 fanfic called, FIRST DATE.

I loooooved it to PIECES!!!

Now this is all that's left of it:

It was written by "ADEEPESTBLUE" who deactivated their account and now it's completely GONE! 😭

I still remember the full details of the story:

Karai is at a gala, escorted by a random footclan member, as a representative of her father, The Shredder's, reputable standing and enterprise in New York.

She gets jaded by all the formal and bland pomp and circumstance and heads out onto the spacious terrace for some fresh air where Leo jumps down from the shadows and sees her in a long black sleek dress that shimmers dark blue as she moves. Even though they're supposed to be rivals, Leo takes the moment as a peaceful temporary truce and dances with her calmly and handsomely where she is drawn in in spite of herself. He's such a gentleman when he's with her and the moment is a deep unspoken moment of connection that holds the eternity of what they want to share.

He ends the dance with a kiss on her hand and whispers "to our first date" and disappears off the terrace in a flash. Even though she tried to fight the moment, she can even less fight the nourishment he gifted her of the seed of hope she's already been harboring deep in her.

I loved how the scene was described and the way it draws the connection of mutual respect and equality and pining between the 2 stoic warriors.

I hate that it's gone. 😔😔

I had been searching for sooo long for that story again.

But I'd been gifted one beautiful salvation from this account.

There was an even more beautiful story that was posted and preserved IN FULL

And I was able to save and repost it!!!!

By the same author. It's called "YES" and it's how Leo and Karai had been married for a while and he soothes her devoutly when she begins to have doubts about her self.

I am sooo glad that story survived!!

There was another fun story called "sparring" that was hilarious. I don't think that one made it either. :/
