This is the result of me being very upset about two things. A: Mona wasn't in "Mutant Apocalypse". Are you seriously telling me that the woman ever just died? I know Casey is dead, April is probably dead, but for real Mona?! No. I need her to be alive at least for a while.
B: Raph had a beard AND HE SHAVED IT OFF!! 😤 Symbolism be blowed! Do I need to explain how good he looked? How rare it is to find animated characters with beards? The man was an icon and I loved it.

To a blank look that is pretty adorable as they process Mikey's antics.
To a wide and sharp eyed anger.
To smugness.
To focused.
To how they stare at things in pure shock and disbelief.
To the way they smile when they're relaxed and completely relieved.

Been thinking about the mutant apocalypse boys in The Road by @rheadanai lately, so I had to draw them!
This fic is soooo beautifully written. It follows the brain and brawn duo in the early days after the M-Bomb, long before we see them in the show. My attention was grabbed instantly and was held through its entirety. The dialogue and interactions felt so real, and there's a true understanding of the characters. It's so good, please go give it a read!!
