I'm gonna make a second post for this story with everything all together with all the changes I made:
*Canon world, post betrayal. (Jin lives and Hawks’ wings fully grew back.)*
Everyone was minding their business, the civilians going on with their day, the Heroes and Villains getting ready for war, when suddenly they get a vision in their heads.
It takes a minute for them to realize they might be watching an Alternate Universe.
One of the reasons why they come to this conclusion is vision!Hawks is hanging out with the League in their old hide out and their Hawks never saw that hide out.
Another thing that is tipping them off even more than the first reason? HAWKS IS SITTING IN DABI'S LAP!
*In the vision/Alternate Universe*
Keigo nuzzles further into Touya, takes a shuddering breath, and says something that could get him killed.
"..... I've been lying to you guys," he whispers into his boyfriend's shoulder. {This gets EVERYONE'S attention.
Hawks, the Commission, and the Heroes DEMANDING to know what the other Hawks is DOING.
The League is shocked but excited.}
"Oh?" Touya hums, running his fingers through the Bird's feathers. {This makes Hawks flinch and Dabi smirk.}
"... I've been spying on you," he confesses, breathing shakily. {The Heroes, Commission, and civilians tense anxiously and the League leans forward in excitement. ".... Is the other Hawksy crying?" Toga pondered, asking what all of Japan is wondering.}
"Do you want to be?" Touya questions, still running his fingers through the wings soothingly. {Everyone wonders why the other Dabi isn't attacking, but figures he and the other League wants answers first.
The League, despite their rage, can understand this. Helped by the fact that other Hawks hasn't seemed to have betrayed the other League yet.}
"..... I don't know anymore," Keigo confesses, his breath hitching tellingly. {Now everyone is wondering why the Winged Hero is crying in front of the Villains.
Though the League finds it interesting, having never witnessed Hawks cry before.}
"Different question then, do you want to betray us?" Tomura asks calmly. {The League leans forward, wondering if this Hawks will be different from theirs.}
"NO!" Keigo sobs, Touya tightening his embrace comfortingly. {Hawks closed his eyes. He didn't want to betray them either, but several lives were on the line.
The Commission grumpily wonders if their counterparts are morons. Questioning why they didn't train the other Hawks to control his emotions, because they OBVIOUSLY didn't.
The League is happy at the answer but prays their counterparts don't go too easy on the Hero and watches him closely at the very least.}
"Relax, Pretty Bird, I'm not gonna break up with you or whatever terrible thing you're imagining," Touya sighs, trying to calm the weeping hero. {THIS makes EVERYONE'S jaw DROP.
All for One DOES wonder how his counterpart can use this and if he can send ideas to his alternate.
Hawks sighs, sympathetically wondering why his alternate would do that to himself when it can end so badly.}
"I'm so sorry," Keigo sobs into Touya's shoulder. {The League .... is torn. On one hand, he's apologizing.
On the other hand, he still spied on them. They aren't sure what they'd do if their Hawks apologized.
While Hawks never allowed himself to get too attached to the League like his alternate had, his soft feelings for Twice aside, he understands the urge to apologize and somewhat wants to do so himself.
The Heroes understand completely. It's usually not personal, they just want to protect people, not hurt them. Villains included.
The Commission is annoyed at their counterparts for allowing Hawks to become compromised.}
"Shhhh, I know you are," Touya soothed, Himiko and Jin joining him in hugging the distraught Bird. {The League ... can't blame their counterparts too harshly.
All for One is cheering them on, pleased that they're bringing the Winged Hero to their side.}
"If it's any consolation, Birdy, I already knew from the start that you were a spy," Touya confessed. {Several jaws dropped.
All for One grinned in interest at Dabi's observation skills and intellect.
Shigaraki scowled at Dabi at the reminder, the rest of the League weren't happy with him for keeping this from them either.
The Commission would have LOVED to have known how observant and intelligent the Flame Villain was before sending Hawks on the mission. They would have given him a different contact.
Aizawa grumpily wondered how much training the Commission gave the Winged Hero if Dabi saw through him so easily and so fast.}
"I STILL want to know why you didn't tell us," Tomura said with a huff. {Shigaraki, and other League members, looked pointedly at Dabi.}
"Gathering evidence, keeping a watchful eye on the Bird, and making sure he didn't find out too much crucial info," Touya lists off, rubbing Keigo's back to let him know there's no hard feelings. {Toga and Twice pouted at Dabi when he didn't reveal any corrections. "You couldn't have given us a HINT? JINNY ALMOST DIED!" Toga snarled tearfully to Dabi who ignored her.}
As if sensing the Canon Universe's question of why Hawks' alternate is so attached the vision changes.
What they see shocks them.
Why is Hawks so attached to the League? HE'S LONELY!
The Commission wants to bang their heads against a wall at their counterparts' stupidity. Control is all well and good but WHAT GOOD IS THAT WITHOUT CONNECTIONS?!
The Heroes and civilians are heartbroken and furious. IT'S NO WONDER HE GOT SO ATTACHED IF HE NEVER EXPERIENCED KINDNESS OR HUMAN DECENCY BEFORE MEETING THE LEAGUE!!!!!
All for One almost injured himself from how hard he laughed. He feels rather jealous of his counterpart.
The League feels empathy and shock that alternate!Hawks went through what they did. They now wonder if their Hawks did too.
Rumi furiously texted Hawks, demanding to know if this is true for him. He assured her it's not as extreme but reluctantly admits that, yes, they control his life. They're just more lenient on what he does with his free time. This DOES NOT cure her rage, or the Heroes she tells.
One scene that hammers this home is this:
The scene fades to just after a battle. Heroes are leaving and making plans to hang out.
One Hero mentions Hawks and possibly asking him to join them. {The Heroes and civilians perk up with hope.
The Villains watch with interest, feeling they know how this will end.}
No one notices the Winged Hero, a distance away, listening in. {Everyone has put together by now that this Hawks has better senses than their own, that he's a Heteromorph, and that the Commission lied about his Quirk.
The Commission is annoyed that their alternates didn't take advantage of such a powerful Quirk. There are ways to control an animal Quirk without having to go to such idiotic measures.}
Another Hero scoffs said he'd only ruin the mood with his childish personality and that he probably has better places to be. Keigo's wings and tail go from perked up and wagging, respectively, to drooping in heartbreak. {The Heroes and civilians cringe and the League winces in sympathy.
Everyone wonders if the other Universe WANTS Hawks to join the League.}
Keigo's phone then vibrates.
Trying to clear the tears from his eyes he looks at the text. 'Come over, the Bloodsucker won't stop whining about missing you,' it read.
Keigo smiled tearfully. 'On my way. 😛🥰' he replied, taking off. {The Heroes and civilians sigh sadly.
The League feels hope that their alternates can make Hawks join them before the betrayal happens.
The Commission feels dread and frustration on behalf of their alternates.
All for One chuckles at the alternate!Heroes' idiocy making it easier for Hawks to join them.}
They get their answer about what made alternate!Hawks turn traitor in another vision:
It was mid-battle. Things are going well for the Heroes.
Suddenly, Keigo hears some Heroes gossiping. {Aizawa, the competent Heroes, and the Commission scowl at this, things could go wrong if a Hero is caught off guard!}
They mention that the League is close to being cornered. One mentions hearing a rumor that they have clearance to kill them. They aren't sure if it's true but they laugh that they can hope. {The Heroes, Commission, and civilians pale and the Villains perk up in excitement, both sides realizing what might happen.}
Keigo takes off after hearing where the League is. {The Hero side pleads for Hawks to calm down and think this through. The Villain side is cheering Hawks on.}
Keigo sees the League cornered like the heroes said. He gets an image of them being executed, his heart shatters, his expression crumples in grief and terror, his pupils go Bird-like, his mind blanks, and he launches forward faster than he EVER has. {The Heroes close their eyes in sorrow and the Villains cheer, All for One laughing and congratulating his counterpart.}
Sensing another question about how Dabi was even ABLE to seduce Hawks, Canon gets the answer in another vision:
Time rewinds to when Keigo was a young teen training in the Commission. {Hawks and the Commission grimace at how similar to the training in their world is and how much backlash it's going to cause now that everyone knows.
Rumi doesn't even text WORDS. She simply sends ?! and 🤬🤨.
Feeling no point in lying, Hawks replies with 👍🏼🤷🏼♀️🫣 and then turns off his phone, needing a minute.}
One of the newer Handlers asks about seduction and tickling when the President remarks how well Hawks is doing with the pain resistance training.
They are met with several scoffs. The President says it won't be necessary and that no real Villain will use anything but pain to get answers and that tickling is simply too childish. {The Heroes, Hawks, and the Commission all bang their heads against the nearest hard surface in unison and the Villains almost wet themselves laughing.
"Those MORONS," Aizawa groans in pain.
"If they dare to have the audacity to act surprised when they learn Hawks turned traitor after doing something so STUPID I'm finding a way into this world and beating ALL of them into unconsciousness," Miruko fumes, getting several grumbles in agreement.}
Everyone learns to word their questions CAREFULLY the hard way and that who or whatever is showing them the visions will answer ALL the questions they have.
Spinner mockingly asks how good at seduction Dabi even IS, unknowingly mimicking the thoughts of various people.
The vision then begins to show a scene of Dabi being seductive to Hawks.
"I WAS KIDDING, I DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT!" Spinner squawks in protest, Dabi smirking vindictively at him.
The vision continues to show various seduction moments between the Hero and Villain.
Dabi has to admit, he's impressed with his counterpart, given that Dabi had never attempted seduction and doubts his alternate had before the Bird either.
The Heroes are impressed but grumpy that it worked and wish Dabi HADN'T have been good at seduction.
Hawks feels VERY flustered by the end. He .... doesn't THINK he has a crush on Dabi, but he's also never experienced one before so he's not sure.
His phone vibrates, indicating he has a message.
'Can you handle the League? Dabi specifically?' Aizawa asked.
'Easily! 😁' he responded, unwilling to expose even MORE vulnerability than the visions already have.
The Commission decides to risk giving the League more info, figuring they already know about the infiltration mission and tests if they can ask direct questions.
"Show us Dabi and Hawks' first meeting in this alternate world," the Commission President ordered.
The vision proves their theory correct and rewinds time again. This time to when Hawks made first contact with Dabi.
Various people figure out what happened and make a note to ask their own questions soon. All for One, the League, and Hawks, to name a few.
Keigo arrives at the meeting spot, spots Dabi, and stops DEAD in his tracks.
'HOW does that look ANYTHING like a burned Frankenstein's Monster?!' he mentally shrieks. {Several people cracked up laughing and Dabi made a mental note to kill the Commission President.}
'He's more like SEX ON LEGS!' Keigo whined. {Hawks shifts uncomfortably, having felt the same but pushed it aside in favor of professionalism.
"THANK you!" Dabi spoke up, giving dark looks to the laughing League.
"If you're into the burnt bacon look, then sure," Shigaraki mocked, dodging the fire sent his way with a smirk.}
'Relax, maybe Dabi hasn't shown up yet and this is just a hot guy,' Keigo mentally whimpered. {Dabi smirked, feeling a little flattered despite everything.
'Get it together Hawks, keep it professional,' Aizawa and the Commission President sigh in unison.}
"You Dabi?" he asks, praying the man says no.
'Of, COURSE you are,' Keigo thought, mentally weeping. {Dabi chuckles in amusement.
Hawks winces. That was more or less his thoughts at the time.}
Keigo takes off flying after Dabi left.
"HOW CAN HE BE SO FUCKING HOT?!" Keigo shrieks when he's high enough where no one can hear him. {Dabi bursts out laughing.
Toga squeals in excitement.}
His phone then rings, stopping him mid rant.
"Yeah?" Keigo answers upon seeing it's the President.
"Did he agree?" the President demanded.
"Yes, I just need to prove my loyalty," he answered.
"Good, will you have any problems working with the Villain Dabi?" she questioned.
'I may be using my hand a LOT more often, but no, no issues here,' he mentally drools. "No, ma'ma, none," he answers instead. {Dabi grins and makes a mental note not to kill Hawks just yet, putting together how similar THEIR meeting was to this one.
The Commission President sighs and makes a note to talk to Hawks, having put together the same thing.
'I'm FUCKED!' Hawks mentally wailed, face in his hands.}
Hawks' phone vibrates indicating another message.
Sighing, he picks it up and looks at the screen.
'Can you handle this setback?' the President demands.
'You can handle it can you? 😑' Aizawa says, indicating Hawks' previous response.
'I can,' he replies to the President, not even bothering to deny the unspoken accusation.
'I can! I just have a crush or something!' he whines to Aizawa.
'For your sake, you better,' was the President's harsh response.
'😮💨 Let me know if you need any help,' was Aizawa's kinder response.
'Thanks, I will. 🥰' Hawks replied to Aizawa, not even bothering to respond to the President, knowing she wasn't expecting one.
Someone else takes advantage of their questions being answered and asks what made alternate!Hawks confess to the League in first place.
To his credit, Keigo does rant a little bit to Rumi. {Miruko feels relief that her and Hawks are friends despite the Commission's dumb orders.}
But he quickly chickens out, not wanting to worry her by opening THAT can of worms and the breakdown he KNOWS will happen along with it. {Miruko shouts she doesn't care, to tell her ANYWAY and that she won't judge him for crying, getting worried nods from the nearby civilians.}
A few days later, Keigo is at his wits' end. Frustrated by all the problems and orders piling up. {The Commission reluctantly decides to give Hawks more time off if it's the cause of his counterpart going traitor.
The Villains, meanwhile, are making notes.
Knowing FOR A FACT that their Hawks feels this way, given what his answer was when asked what his dream is.
'Time enough for free time and to enjoy boredom huh? We can make that happen,' Dabi thinks, grinning.}
Suddenly, his phone rings.
"WHAT?!" he snarls, not wanting ANOTHER problem to fix. {All for One smiles, putting together the picture of their own world's Hawks.
Aizawa sighs and vows to talk with Hawks in person.
Nezu starts hacking into the Commission, taking advantage of the distraction.}
"Whoa, Birdy, what crawled up YOUR ass?" Touya tries to soothe his boyfriend.
Keigo lands on a deserted building roof, and snaps.
"EVERYONE!!" he shrieks, not able to keep silent anymore.
Keigo then explains about the Commission's demands, the Heroes' constant mockery of him and his "child-like, happy-go-lucky, carefree personality who needs to take things more seriously", that the Commission ORDERED HIM to act this way, the civilians constantly asking for help or touching his feathers without asking, and how everyone seems to think he's a child with unlimited energy.
Keigo isn't too surprised to find himself bawling by the end of his rant. {Toga and Twice coo sadly despite still feeling hurt at the betrayal.
Hound Dog vows to join Aizawa in his talk with Hawks.}
".... Why don't you just take some time off?" Touya worriedly asks, getting Kurogiri to send him to the Hero's location at the same time. {Several people nod worriedly, not even caring that they're agreeing with a Villain.}
"Because THEY won't LET ME," Keigo says, giving a Bird-like hiss in frustration. {"They will if I have anything to say about it," Nezu assures cheerfully, still hacking the Commission and gathering answers.}
Touya then steps out of the Portal, hangs up his and Keigo's phone, and brings the Bird into an embrace.
Keigo then breaks down COMPLETELY, wailing into Touya's shoulder that he hates ABSOLUTELY ALL OF THEM. {Several civilians and Heroes cringe in guilt, vowing to ease up on the Winged Hero and feeling anger at the Commission for forcing him to put on a mask.
Hawks feels emotional, from having his feelings explained so clearly, and humiliated, from having his feelings and secrets exposed to the public.
The League perks up in hope.
All for One grins, pondering on how to use this.
The Commission President sighs and tries to figure out how to fix this and not lose their best Hero.
Aizawa and Hound Dog are only MORE determined to talk to Hawks.}
Touya then stands up, holding the weeping Bird in his arms, shushing him gently when he starts pleading for Touya not to leave him alone, and walks back into the Portal, giving a last DARK, venomous look at the city. {..... No one can blame Dabi for his protective rage. A few feel similarly themselves.
All for One approves of how Dabi is handling the situation.
Aizawa and Miruko vow to get Hawks therapy even if they have to DRAG HIM TO IT BY HAND.}
One of Class 1-A asks why tickling training is so important, assuring that they don't agree with the alternate!Commission, they just don't see tickling as anything more than a fun bonding experience.
They, and others across Japan who wonder something similar, get their answer.
Hawks is still in Dabi's lap and the other League members are in the same spots they were in the confession vision, so everyone assumes this is after Hawks confessed.
“Now that you're calmer, we need the access codes to the Commission,” Tomura said. {Bakugo grumbles about the game reference.
Shigaraki is a little annoyed that his counterpart waited, but understands that he cares for the Hero enough to wait for him to calm down.
All for One fully approves, comparing how the League is treating the Hero to how the other Heroes have been treating him so far in the visions.}
“I …. what do you want that for?” Keigo asks hesitantly, not taking back his word of not wishing to betray them but not wanting innocent lives killed either.
“For future quests and battles,” he answers easily.
“Come on, Pretty Bird, you trust us enough to confess to being a spy. Can't you trust us with this,” Touya asks, running his fingers up and down Keigo's sides gently. {The Heroes, Commission, and Hawks tense and the Villains perk up excitedly.
Both sides wonder how this will go with a version of Hawks that had only pain resistance training.}
Keigo squeaks and immediately starts giggling, trying to shift away.
“Talk, Birdy,” Touya demands playfully, preventing the Bird from moving, digging his fingers into his upper sides.
“No, no, no, no TOUYA!” Keigo shrieks, crumpling against his boyfriend. “I CAN'T, I don't know if you'll use the info against innocents!” he pleaded, shrieking with laughter into Touya's shoulder. {The Commission, Heroes, and Hawks are impressed that he is able to resist THAT much despite not having training.
The League is also impressed, however annoyed Shigaraki is at his counterpart having to wait.}
“RUDE!” Himiko gasped dramatically, shoving her hands into his wings.
Keigo gives a Bird-like screech then collapses into cackles.
“No, no, not my wings,” he pleaded amidst shrieking laughter.
“Tell me and I'll stop Himi from attacking your wings,” Touya promised, the only one who understood him through all the laughter. {The League leans forward excitedly.}
“........ Ok, ok, I SURRENDER! PLEASE STOP!!” Keigo cries, screeching with laughter when Touya moves his hands up around the Bird's sides right below his armpits. {The League cheers.
All for One smiles, noting down the areas on the off chance that it becomes useful.
The Heroes and Hawks sigh, honestly impressed he lasted THAT long without proper training.
The Commission just grumbles at their counterparts for not thinking of this.}
