"Are you almost ready, my dear?"
"Just a moment!" You called out behind the bathroom door.
Niran had booked the two of you an evening reservation at a nearby elegant restaurant, to which you were currently getting ready for. He waited patiently outside the door, sitting on your bed in the shared apartment, adorned in a nice, white button up shirt and black dress pants.
You, on the other hand, were standing in front of the mirror, contemplating whether or not you looked good enough for tonight's event. You scrutinized your outfit, suddenly noticing all the flaws and imperfections that were effervescent on your figure.
Almost ten minutes had passed, and Niran took notice of the silence coming from inside the bathroom, so he gave a small knock to the door with concern lacing his voice.
"Is everything all right in there?"
You swallowed, pushing down the lump in your throat that threatened to make tears form in your eyes. Hesitantly, you broke your gaze from the mirror and turned towards the door, opening it slowly and refusing to look at Niran with a reluctant frown, keeping your eyes fixed to the floor.
His eyes lit up, scanning your outfit with a wide smile. "My, you're blossoming!"
He tilted his head up to look at your face, his own faltering when he noted your scowl and your sunken eyes that refused to make contact with his own. "Love, is something wrong?"
An embarrassed blush clouded your cheeks and your shoulders dropped, fingers coming together to fidget anxiously with one another. "I'm sorry, I don't look very nice."
Niran's brows furrowed, his face expressing one of confusion and sadness at your statement. "Whatever do you mean? You look amazing!"
You sighed, biting your lower lip nervously before shifting your eyes towards your torso. "It's just...I'm not very attractive in this. My stomach-"
Niran stepped forward, cutting you off with a stern, yet kind tone in his voice. "Now where did you get that idea from?"
You still wouldn't dare to meet his eyes, so he took it upon himself to move closer and bring a hand to your chin, tilting your head upwards and forcing your eyes to greet his. They shone with concern upon seeing the glaze of tears in your eyes. His hand cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing gently over your skin.
"I think you look lovely. Matter of fact, I know it." His tone was soft, accompanied by a warm smile. Your lower lip quivered at his words, and you looked back down in shame.
"But my stomach...It's just so.. I don't know, noticeable."
Niran shook his head. "It's beautiful, darling."
"No," you sighed, feeling the heat on your face only getting warmer as you continued, "it's not. It's unappealing and gross and I can't believe I haven't noticed it soo-"
"Hey."
The unexpected strictness in his voice made you look up at him, taking in a breath you didn't realize you had been holding in this whole time.
His brows were furrowed again, with his eyes slightly narrowed at you. The smile from his face was gone, but you could still see the softness in his eyes.
"I will not allow you to tear yourself down like this."
You were silent, so he continued.
"You are magnificent. Your body is magnificent. I don't look at you and see flaws, I only see the beauty. Every part of you, it's all heavenly. And I am extremely lucky to be the one to take you to dinner in that outfit."
Your blush only grew, but this time because of his loving compliments. You bit your lip, hands still fidgeting nervously. "Really?"
"I mean every word I say."
A small smile appeared on your lips, and you nodded your head. "Thank you, Niran." There was still a glumness hidden in your eyes that he could see, so he grinned and put his hands on your waist.
"I think your stomach is quite adorable." His fingers grazed over your middle, making you twitch and stifle a giggle, taking a small step back at the feeling.
"Hehey, be careful."
His grin only grew in size, a playfulness taking over him. "Aw, but how else will I cheer you up?"
His fingers lightly scribbled on your stomach as you squirmed away, trying to move away from him completely. His movements didn't deter though, and he effectively followed you until he had you almost leaning back against the bed.
Niran stayed in front of you, positioning his legs around your frame so you were trapped between him and the bed. Your back hit the mattress, and you realized you had no where else to go.
A wobbly smile adorned your features, giggles spewing out of you like a leaky faucet, making Niran smirk with a pleasant hum. "Just listen to those giggles! Seriously, how is every part of you so cute?"
"Nihihiran, noho!"
His hands travelled to your sides, giving them gentle squeezes with his thumb and forefinger. A squeal escaped from you, eyes crinkling shut and smile growing wide. Your hands were in front of you, trying to push his away to no avail.
"Niran, yes!"
Your giggles increased in speed and pitch as his fingers hit the extra sensitive spots on your sides, pinching wherever produced the best reactions.
"Such a pretty face with pretty laughter! I could listen to it all night!"
The blush on your face increased at his teasing, which by any means did not go unnoticed by him. He picked up the pace with his squeezes, moving upwards towards your lower ribs, his playful smirk on growing.
"Aww, what a lovely shade of pink! I should make you blush more often, hmm?" He enunciated his last word with a wink and a tweak to your ribs, making you squeak and squirm harder.
"Dohohon't sahahay that!"
"Oh, but why not? You're like a beautiful rose!"
His words made your stomach flutter with the feeling of butterflies. The way his tone was so teasy and playful had you wishing the mattress would swallow you whole, embarrassment creeping up to your neck and ears.
Niran's hands crept higher to your upper ribs, and instead of his awful pinches, he switched to spidering against them. The sensation made you arch your back with a squeal, giggles pouring out of you and making Niran coo.
"Aww, is it super ticklish here?"
You shook your head, refusing to admit just how badly his fingers affected you. "Nohoho!"
Niran gasped in mock surprise. "No? Then why are you giggling so much?"
"Gohoho AWAHAY!"
He made a noise of disapproval, shaking his head lightly with the smallest of a feigned frown. "Aw, but I how could I ever stop listening to those cute giggles!"
Niran's hands had found your stomach again, aiming for the spot directly in the center and scribbling his fingers on it. The sensation made you jerk backwards, your back falling onto the soft mattress underneath you. With a squeak, your hands crashed down onto his, pulling and pushing to try and rid his fingers from your torso.
Heavy laughter came from your throat, your head thrown back in mirth as your tummy was stretched out more now, giving him extra room to roam around and find the exceptionally ticklish spots.
He let out a giggle of his own, leaning forward and looking down at you with pure fondness. "Ooh, is this a bad spot?"
"Ehehenough teheasing!"
"Aw, but it's my favorite part! You're so precious when I tease you!" He had to speak up over the sound of your laughter.
God. Each tease just only made your blush worse. You turned your head to the side, trying to hide your deeply reddened face in the blankets of the bed. Niran noticed and shook his head with a heart-warming laugh, fingers still spidering against your stomach.
"Aw, don't hide now! How else am I gonna see that adorable face?"
You groaned through your laughter against the sheets, refusing to turn your head back and having to meet those playfully mischievous eyes and teasy grin. Niran didn't appreciate that though, as he took one of his spidering hands and brought it to your unprotected neck.
The sudden feeling of his fingers there made you screech, snapping your head back and bringing your shoulder to your ear to rid of the sensation. Those bubbly giggles were back yet again; little titters and squeaks making themselves known at random intervals.
"Aww, there you are!"
Niran gave a sweet smile at seeing your face again. His fingers still worked against your neck, no matter how much you tried to close off the open area with your shoulder.
His other hand was at your stomach still, randomizing his fingers with pokes and scribbles and prods to keep you squeaking and giggling. One of your hands came up to grab at his wrist on your neck while the other stayed pushing against the hand on your stomach.
"P-plehehease, aha! Ihihit tihickles so bahad!"
Niran snickered, that mischievous glint never leaning his eyes. "Oh good, that's what I was going for!"
"Nohoho!" Your feet kicked out as they dangled helplessly from off the bed, your head still pressed tightly to your shoulder. Niran pulled his hand away and switched to the other side of your neck and fluttered around your ear, making your giggles only rise in volume and head jerk the other way.
He laughed light-heartedly at your failed attempt to block his fingers out. "Will you stop talking bad about yourself now? Or should I keep producing these endearing giggles from you?"
"I-ehehe, Ihihi-!" You couldn't get the words out of your mouth, as the ticklish sensations were keeping you squealing and laughing. Niran slowed his fingers just slightly with a grin. "What's your answer, my love?"
"Ahaha, y-yehehes!"
With a contented hum, he ceased his fingers and lifted them away, stepping back to allow you space to catch your breath and collect yourself. Tiny giggles flew out of your mouth as you greedily took in air, bringing your hands up to cover your blushing face. Niran laughed with a bright smile. "Aw, did I tease you too much?"
You shook your head with a giggly groan. "Shuhuhut up!"
"Or maybe it tickled too much?"
"Niran! Stohop it!"
He giggled, stepping forward when you reluctantly removed your hands from your face and put his hand out for you to take. You took his offer and stood up from the bed with a smile, biting your lower lip anxiously.
He brought your hand up to his lips, pressing a small kiss to the back of it. You smiled bashfully, looking up at him with a little giggle. Ugh, he was such a gentleman.
"You are perfect. Never forget that."
You nodded shyly, the wobbly smile never leaving your face as he spoke. He held your hand in his, rubbing a soothing thumb over your warm skin. "Thank you, Niran. I won't."
He grinned, bringing a hand to give a quick scribble to your stomach again. "Certainly not around me, huh?"
You giggled, pushing his hand away and rolling your eyes. A small yawn escaped from your lips, making you cover your mouth and shake your head. "I think you wore me out," you sighed. Niran gave a gentle smile, squeezing your hand reassuringly.
"What do you say to staying in tonight and I cook us a nice meal?"
You grinned, giving a small nod in approval. "I'd like that."
