It was a perfectly normal day. It was sunny and warm and all of the neighborhood was busy doing their own things. It was quite but not that quite. And you decided that today you would spend time with your favorite puppet, WALLY! He was always so fun to hang out with! And today was oh so perfect too! It would be the obvious choice to spend time with him. . . Oh how wrong you were.

Anyways.

You were in Wally's home, just talking. Talking about random things that came to mind. Everything was going smoothly. . . until-

- " And as I was saying he- oh! Neighbor! You've got something on your shirt! "

- " Huh? Oh it's okay! Really it doesn't- "

- " No No, Neighbor. I insist that I wipe it off. "

Before you could protest any further his hand wiped a bit of dust. . . off your side . . . That caused you to flinch and jump a little and also let out a small squeak sound. Nothing too weird.

- " Neighbor, what was that? Are you okay? Did I hurt you? "

He asked with genuine concern in his voice. It truly made you feel kind of bad. If only it wasn't so darn embarrassing to say. . .

- "Yes!- yes! I'm okay! It's just that it- uh- it tickled a little. "

he tilted his head a little in confusion.

- " 'Tic . . . kled'? What's that? Is it a human thing? "

- "Well it-" Rude . . . He cut you off.

- " Oh, I think Frank told me about it! They said it makes people laugh, right? Well, puppets aren't really 'ticklish', BUT, I did hear humans were. "

you definitely did not like that tone in his voice. You quickly got up to leave, but Wally had other ideas and held (not too tight) on your arm.

- " Oh, Neighbor. you surely wouldn't mind if I tickled you right? "

- " Wally wait!- "

- " Come on Neighbor! I just want to learn something about you~ "

and with that Wally (gently) pushed you back on the couch, facing him, tickling your sides.

"WAIT! WAIT! WALLY WAIT- AHAHAHAH!"

"Oh my! Neighbor, I never knew this would be so exhilarating! And you're laughing so much so this must be fun for you!"

You couldn't tell if he was teasing you or not. It was so hard to tell because of how calm his voice sounded. "MAHAYBE IT'S FUHAHN FOHOR YOUOUH! IT'S NAHAT FAHAHIR!"

"And how is that exactly? Your face says it all Neighbor ~ ha ha , I can tell you're having a blast."

"IM NOHOHOT!"

after a minute Wally was getting quite bored and decided he would start to tickle-sorry- "study" your armpits.

"Hm. I wonder. Can humans be ticklish in other places? Well, it wouldn't hurt to try! would it Neighbor?~"

"NOHOHO!"

"No? Well then if you're okay with it."

"THAT ISN'T WHAT I - MEAHAHANT! NO NO NO! STOHOP!"

You jumped at the sudden change of spots. "Wow! Haha, are all humans this jumpy when they get tickled?"

You really couldn't keep your arms up even if you tried. Making a short stop to Wally's "vicious" attack.

- "Oh dear. Neighbor, it appears you have trapped my hands. Guess that means you'll have to raise your arms to free them. "

you breathe for a few seconds to replenish your lungs then give him an answer.

- " Nohoh! If I raise my arms you'll just tickle me again! "

- " Now Neighbor! I would never do that! I'm honestly quite offended you would think such a thing! "

HE WAS SO LYING! After he said that you gave him an answer that the second you said it you instantly wanted to take it back.

- " You lair! If I raise my arms you'll just keep tickling me! "

He let out a very dramatic gasp and put a hand over where his heart would be as if to show he was very "offended" by what you just said.

- " What!? Why!- Me the ever so honest and truthful Wally Darling a liar!? How very rude you Neighbor! And to say we're such good friends to!? I just wanted to learn about you! But clearly you deserve so type of punishment for that. Looks like I'm going to have to teach my littlest Neighbor some manners. "

There was a pool of dread inside your stomach. Just what was he gonna do with you!? You were pretty scared judging from the tone in his voice on that second to last sentence. You train of thoughts was ruined as he grabbed one of you legs and face your stomach on lap. You shut your eyes closed excepting something to happen to you. . . but it never came . You opened one of your eyes slightly, that when Wally chose to dig all 8 of his fingers into your stomach making you squeal loudly in shock.

- " Ha ha . . . I hope you realize I'm only doing this to teach you how to respect your elders, little Neighbor. I wonder what the whole Neighborhood would think if they found out about such a adorable little. . . Feature you have?"

Your eyes widened when he said that. Would he really tell everyone about this? No no of course not he would never do that! . . . Right?

-" NOHOHO DON'T! "

- "Now now Neighbor. It's impossible to make out what you are saying over allll of your giggling. It was such a discovery to find out such light and simple touches could make you humans laugh so darn much."

- "NOHOHO PLEASE STOHOP! I LEARNED MY LESSON I SWEAHAR!" Your pleads fell on deaf ears unfortunately.

- "You want to know what the best part about this is Neighbor? You can never get me back! How lucky is it that I happen to not be ticklish anywhere? That means I could tickle you again and again and again and again and again and you could never be able to do the same because puppets aren't ticklish like humans. Isn't that fun, Neighbor ~?"

- "NOHOHO WALLY I TAKE IT BACK I SWEAHAR!" He softly sighed and spoke

- "Ha ha. okay okay , I suppose you've learned your lesson Neighbor. But just so we are clear . . . " he leaned down close to your ear and whispered

-"I won't hesitate to do that again. I find it absolutely adorable that you can have such reactions over that and I won't hesitate to tell the whole~ neighborhood about this cute little secret you have [Reader]~ Are we on the same page?" You quickly replied,

- " NO! No! I get your point really!"

- "Well, if you say so. Run along now little Neighbor it's getting late, and you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow. After all, I'm sure everyone will be curious about such a adorable little "gift" you humans have~."

Oh dear. I don't think he'll ever let you live this down. . . Well. . . Don't worry. He won't tease you that much!

Author's Note: Hi! Here's me ignoring canon stuff again... Basically imagine this taking place during season 3 when Dick really starts to have his leadership role solidified. And Wally is still here! (God I miss him...) Also beware, this is like super cheesy, I just felt like writing a bit more of a simple plot.

Also, hello to my 9 followers! Wow! I'm back after like.. exactly a year. I am so sorry you guys, thank you for sticking around. The past year to now is the most busy I have ever been, I got a full time job and it's really taking up my life. I used to be able to write so much more... I'm gonna be so slow now... But... I'll do my best!!! This is one I've had for like 2 years, I just cleaned it up because I really want to post... Next I need to actually finish my sequel Wri/Neuv fic...

Dick had been in his room at the base for quite some time, sulking, after their latest mission didn’t go so well. Various members of the team tried to visit, wanting to check on him, and he would send them away.

Eventually, Wally had enough, and phased through the molecules in the wall to his room, appearing inside, wanting him to feel better already. “Hey, man!”

“Wh-” Dick was sitting on the floor. He started, surprised to see him. “Oh. Wally, I appreciate you, but… Please leave me alone.”

“But I don’t want to! You’re all mopey and I can’t have that. I hate it when the team gets like this. It was just a mission!”

“...I…” He trailed off, not sure what to say in response.

“Well, I brought you some stuff!" Wally held up the bag he was carrying. "Snacks and drinks. I got your favorites!"

Dick looked at him with appreciation. "I, um, don't want those right now, but thank you."

“Okay.” Wally put the bag onto the table next to his bed, then sat down on the floor next to him.

Dick sighed. “Do you want something?”

“Just to see if you were okay. You need a distraction! Come on, what would get you up and about?”

“...” He was honestly blindsided.. Wally had a way of being vehemently supportive without really trying.

“Come ooon!” He reached and put his hand on Dick’s shoulder and squeezed, trying to be comforting, which caused him to flinch and jolt slightly. Wally noticed and took his hand back, apologising. Dick waved it away.

After seeing his reaction to being touched, something in the back of Wally's mind came forward. He acted on it, knowing he’d probably get chewed out later, but.. It would be worth it.

Wally essentially pounced on him, knocking them both flat, but he scrambled up and sat on top of Dick’s legs, pinning him down. Dick stared at him, adrenaline causing him to freeze. Wally grinned at him.

“Well, fine. If you’re not gonna try to feel better… I have to do this myself!”

Dick started to try to say something, maybe a plea, as he figured out what was happening. But Wally acted fast- because of course he did- and got right to it, giving Dick no chance of preparation. He started prodding his fingertips into his ribs through his thin muscle shirt. Dick inhaled sharply, trying to jerk away, but unfortunately didn't get anywhere.

Wally exclaimed gleefully, “Yes! It works!” He stopped to grab onto Dick’s wrists together and hold them against the floor as best he could.

Dick was nervous, he knew exactly what was coming. He was already getting worried, “Whatever you think you're gonna achieve by this… Don't…” He started trying to take his wrists out of Wally’s grasp, but he was so focused on what he might do next that he couldn't fully concentrate on removing himself.

“Aha! So you don’t want me to keep going! Which means it affects you! Maybe a lot!” Wally grinned and started prodding into his ribs again.

Dick yelped, “No, no! Stop–” and twisted about some more. It was increasingly difficult to do much of anything with the sensation setting his nerves on fire. He couldn't help it, a wobbly smile started to force its way onto his face.

Wally squeezed up and down Dick’s side, and he convulsed as he desperately tried to stay quiet, the feeling building in his chest. When Wally started to vibrate his fingers, Dick couldn’t resist anymore and broke instantly, tossing his head back, strangled laughter and protests spilling out of him. “AH-! Ahah- Hahahahahaha!! Nooohohoho, don't!! Wally!"

“Aww, there, was that so hard?” Wally asked, nonchalant, annoying.

Dick honestly didn't know when the last time he experienced this was. He acted confident as much as he could, but he was still insecure about quite a few things… This was so embarrassing. Wally had such an advantage with his speed, this vibration was way too much. And he was just really good at this! It was so unfair.

He continued to squirm, not able to do much else. Normally, he would have easily rolled away or some such thing, but it was impossible to put effort into it in his current state. He was just.. So... Embarrassed...

Wally targeted his stomach next, digging into his abs, flimsy shirt doing nothing to protect him, and Dick shook his head, jolting reflexively, his voice raising in pitch, laughter leaving him in fits. “NO, nonono!! HaHA- Ahahahaha!! Wal- HAH- Wally! St-Stohohohop!! AHahahaa- Get ohohohohoff!!”

He could hardly think about anything except how much he wanted to get away, but he was rendered pretty useless by the torment.

“You know, I didn’t think this would work so well,” Wally said casually, changing it up and going lighter, skittering his fingers up and down. “I thought for sure you were stronger than me.”

The change of feeling sent him into uncontrollable giggles. "Nonononono- HEHhehehehehe-" He managed to get out, “Sh- Shut-" It was really hard to talk. “Sh- hEH- Shut up!!” He was too busy trying to curl into a ball to come up with something better.

“Oh, yeah?” Wally smirked. “Says the guy squirming around helplessly. You aren’t even trying to push me off or anything!”

Dick couldn't retort, and all but screeched as Wally had started attacking his abs again, making his way down to his hips, then shifted himself to access his legs better.

“I ca- I CAN’T–” He was entirely unable to say anything further, and he went into frantic cackling when Wally got his hand under his shorts to knead up and down his thigh. Something about that drove him batty. (Pun intended!)

“AH! NONONO!" He shook his head rather desperately. "FUCKfuckFUHUHUCK- Ple- PLEHEHEASE!! HAHAH- Fuck!! HahahahaAHAHAA!!”

The amount of writhing he was doing nearly made Wally fall off, but he managed to stay stable enough to keep at it.

"Ooh, this is a good one, huh?" Wally grinned at the sheer sensitivity of his friend. He hadn't ever done this before- with these results, he would definitely be employing it in the future. Dick couldn't respond to his quip. He was starting to wheeze and fade into shaking silently, hardly able to breathe.

After a few more moments, Wally noticed him losing energy and realised he might have gone too far. He stopped his attack, hoping he would be alright.

Dick gasped for air, twitching a bit. Wally got off of him and watched, concerned. Dick caught his breath after a while, and then quickly got away from his attacker, rolling over backwards, sitting against the wall, hugging his knees to his chest. “...Ugh…” He groaned, burying his face in his knees, just exhausted.

Wally was a bit worried. Did he hurt him?

“Are you okay? I’m really sorry if I went too far.”

He spoke into his knees. “That… Fuck. That was… Horrible.”

Wally grinned. So everything was just fine. “But I achieved my goal, you’re not sad anymore!”

“...I hate you so much."

“Ha! You just hate that I’m right! ‘Cause I’m right! It worked!”

Dick only nodded in response, completely sapped. He didn’t like admitting it, but it was true. That whole experience had completely put everything out of his mind. Although now, he was just stuck feeling self-conscious.

Wally seemed to know what he was thinking about, because he crawled over next to him and sat there. "Dickie... For what it's worth… I think that was really nice… You don't laugh much."

"O- Okay…" Dick fidgeted with his hands. "...Man, using your speed like that was so, so not cool…"

"...Admit it though, it worked great!" Wally grinned triumphantly.

"I can't- even- I can't believe you." But he couldn't stay mad. "Fine."

Dick lifted his head and glared at him, "Don't start."

"YES-"

"...Okay, yeah, deserved." Wally put his hands up in resignation, still grinning.

He waited maybe 10 seconds before getting right back to teasing him. He couldn't help it. "I'm gonna have to do that to you more!"

Dick put his head back on his knees. The flustering was endless. "I'll kill you…"

"Well, you'd be too weak to do anything about it, as demonstrated just now!"

"Just-" He couldn't think how to respond. "Ughhh... This is not fair!"

"Heh, I know, that's why it's so fun!" Wally went and sat against the wall with him, then wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer. "Come here."

"...Fine." Dick allowed it to happen, then slowly realised how much he needed it. He had really needed everything that happened...

"Wally?"

Wally had Dick in his arms, nestled into his chest.

"Yeah, Dickie?"

".....Thank you."

"Any time!"

The two ended up falling asleep like that.

Summary: A glimpse into Wally and Dick's teenage years; the first time Wally realizes why, even as a billionaire, Bruce refuses to give his son candy. Day sixteen of Miya and Mia’s Tickletober: sweets!

Wally has never really used his height against Dick. He’s always been taller, but he is also older, and speed was always more of his thing anyways. He was fine with Dick flipping through the air, cartwheeling down the halls of the Young Justice headquarters.

When Dick had suggested they go to Wayne Manor and steal some of the Halloween candy that Bruce had started stockpiling for the trick-or-treaters, Wally thought it was a great idea. Free candy and he gets to chill in a mansion? It was a done deal for him. 

It was all fun and games when he thought he and Dick would just steal some candy and watch a movie, before he realized that Dick rarely, if ever, eats candy. It seems like the Dark Knight goes all out for Halloween, but rarely lets his own kid have any sweets. Wally can see why.

Dick is practically bouncing off the walls, running around in circles in the screening room, begging Wally to let him put his costume on so he can fight crime, saying he feels it’s time to “break bones and take names.” 

Wally, despite really wanting to see what happens, tells Dick no, he is absolutely not leaving the room in the state he’s in. Dick pouts, and he does puppy dog eyes, and he begs, but Wally stands his ground. He finds it incredibly difficult, of course, he’s had a crush on his best friend for like three entire years, but his worry for Dick’s safety outweighs the cuteness of his puppy dog eyes. 

Dick instead takes to jumping across the room’s chairs and couches, doing somersaults and cartwheels, doing triple backflips and handsprings. Wally, with his ability to practically watch seconds tick by in front of him, is having difficulty keeping up with how quick Dick is moving around the room. 

“Walls, I am totally whelmed right now,” Dick says in the middle of a front flip off the couch, “like, absolutely, completely whelmed.”

Wally laughs, speeding over to stand next to Dick, “even if that were a word, I don’t think that's how you’d use it.”

“No, no,” Dick says, shaking his head while running towards another couch, “it totally would be. I made it up so I get to choose how it’s used. 

“That’s totally not how language works, dude,” Wally says before finally deciding it might be time to reel Dick in. His flips and tricks are cool, but Wally is seriously worried that the sugar rush is going to cause him to trip over himself, which would be bad news for both of them. 

Wally runs and grabs a blanket, wrapping it around Dick and bringing him over to one of the couches, all within the blink of an eye. Dick attempts to wrestle out of the blanket, but Wally continues to tangle him up in it. Eventually Dick manages to get completely covered, his body disappearing under the Superman themed throw blanket. 

“Wally, let me out!” Dick laughs, muffled by the fabric.

“No can do, bird brain, not until you’ve got a little less pep in your step.” 

Dick continues to struggle, arms flailing and poking out as he tries to reach for Wally to push him away. Wally, of course, has the benefit of sight, and decides to start grabbing Dick back. The two of them engage in this awkward, partially blind wrestling match for a minute or two before Wally grabs Dick and Dick recoils with a squawk, squirming under the blanket. 

Wally does it again, and this time it produces a giggle, Dick’s hands coming up to produce a barrier, though he still can’t see Wally’s next move. 

Wally makes a grab for Dick and manages to wrangle him into a hug, the human burrito now trapped in his arms, and he makes quick work of skittering his fingers wherever he can reach, getting a wheeze and high-pitched giggles from his best friend. 

“Wahahally nohoho!” Dick squeals, unable to struggle due to both the blanket and Wally’s arms trapping him. 

“Aww, does that tickle?” Wally asks when he starts rubbing his head into the crevice of Dick’s neck and shoulder, “Is someone’s neck ticklish? What about your ribs? Does this tickle?”

Dick shrieks, going limp against Wally and trying to figure out any possible way of escape. He hears when Wally decides to count his ribs, and he desperately tries to get out of the redhead’s grasp.

“Dickie, you gotta hold still,” Wally teases, “counting them from under the blanket is hard enough, if I lose count I’ll have to start over!”

Of course, Wally loses count about five times, each time starting a new round of tickling on Dick’s upper ribs, which gets him crying out through hysterics. 

“Aww, where does it tickle?” Wally asks when he’s ‘forced’ to restart again, “Does it tickle here?”

He goes back in to get Dick’s top rib, and Dick shrieks, begging for Wally to stop, promising that he’ll finally calm down.

When Wally feels as though Dick has been positively tickled silly, he finally stops, releasing his grasp on Dick, allowing him to fully reveal himself from under the blanket. 

Dick comes out with his hair a mess, curls falling in his eyes. His face is red and he has a huge smile plastered on his face, tears trickling from the corner of his eyes. He looks happy, and Wally thinks that he wants this to be the last thing he ever sees, Dick smiling at him, joy written across his face. 

Dick pants, throwing a fake glare Wally’s way, “you’re-”

Dick is interrupted when Wally leans in for a kiss, soft and timid, and it takes him a second before he even realizes, before he’s kissing back. 

When they pull away they’re both smiling, sharing identical, smitten looks. The fondness in Wally’s eyes, Dick realizes now, had always been there, he had just never taken notice. 

“Dude, I’m-”

“You’re whelmed, aren’t you?” Dick asks with a little smirk on his face.

Wally just rolls his eyes, going in for another kiss.

When the ‘Lee mood hits, he wants to be destroyed. Utterly tickled into delirium. He wants to laugh ‘till he aches.

He's exceptionally sensitive, but his 'tickle-spots' will have him howling

Major giggler, you don’t even have to touch him to get him giggling

His tickled-laugh is very bouncy and hysterical, gets airy and hiccupy after a while

His laugh can get very loud, it tends to startle people at first!

Makes little comments of ‘Oh goodness me’ and ‘Oh gracious’ between laughter

Once he's laughing hard enough, he'll start to make this strange snort that almost sounds like goose honking. No one knows why he does this, but it's hilarious

Never tickles someone for very long, so the worst that comes from being pounced by him is being a little giggly and winded

Throws himself into his ‘Lee’s arms afterward, such a snuggler

Purposefully will make himself easy to get back, he’s really hoping for revenge tickles
