After a variety of jobs - everything from a travelling salesman to pianist in a Paris brothel - Les Dawson went from clubland stand-up comic to TV star. It soon became clear that he was much more than a run-of-the-mill comedian. Dawson went on to become a published author, actor and - despite his act - an accomplished pianist.
