After Madeleine lifted the cart and was back in his office having a conversation with his servant Leporello,Javert walked in
"Sir I have the doubt that you might be the convict Jean Valjean" said Javert
"Uh Leporello can you leave us alone for a second" said Madeleine to his servant
"Of course master,do you want me to light the candles" said Leporello
"Sure,you are the only one with the key to my mansion" said Madeleine
"I'll shall dust the chair for your evening oatmeal by the fireplace" said Leporello as he bowed low and skipped off
Madeleine turned to Javert
"Don't mind him,his previous master was a bit of a scoundrel,I took him in as my servant and he's been happy ever since,now as you were saying Javert you suspect me to be a convict named Jean Valjean" said Madeleine
"Yes" said Javert
"I have a confession to make I'm Jean Valjean" said Madeleine
Javert gasped,all this time he had working for Jean Valjean a man whom he was secretly in love with, Javert blushed
"Javert why are blushing" said Valjean
"Because I love you" said Javert
Now it was Valjeans turn to blush he had been also secretly in love with Javert but never revealed it
I felt the same way about you" said Valjean
Javert got down on one knee and pulled out a ring
"Will you marry me" said Javert
Valjean looked like if he was going to faint
"Yes" said Valjean
They kissed on the lips for a full five minutes
"Well I must be going, Monsieur Le Maire" said Javert
He kissed Valjean on the cheek and left
Valjean placed his engagement ring on his finger and walked home to his mansion where his servant Leporello was finished dusting the chair
"Oh master what's got you in a happy mood" said Leporello Valjean sat in his chair as Leporello handed him a bowl of oatmeal "Well I'm engaged to inspector Javert now and my name is not Monsieur Madeleine let me tell you the tale of Jean Valjean" said Valjean as he began to tell Leporello his true identity
