End of week two of the quarantine fall study challenge and the question is: “how did this week go?”

Dang. This week was a rough one. Rough at home. Rough with school. Rough with work. Just not ideal. But I got through it! Yesterday my mom and I took our beast Tasha to the beach and picked out shells. It was what I needed, but not quite all I hoped it would be.

School was fine. I played catch up well and I’m confident about this upcoming week academically.

Relationship wise it wasn’t great. Everyone kinda hit the wall, which after how many months of isolation I can’t be surprised. I’ve been doing the whole dating app thing per my therapists suggestion and I’ve been ghosted by every girl I’ve matched with. I feel a fool honestly. I want to meet a nice girl, but all I’ve found out is one of my best friends coworkers is cheating on their boyfriend.

I hope everybody has had a good week and things are sailing smoothly!

Back at revising! I take all the messy notes in my small notebook at uni, and then make prettier notes to actually study with at home.

My university wants me to study more than my major subject, so I have to visit a couple of courses outside my fields. I chose a lecture in political sciences here, because as a history student it's still good to have background about peace and war.

6. a qué retos académicos me enfrenté el año pasado?

Bueno, el año pasado empezó un poco mal. 

En tres de los primero exámenes que tuve saqué un 6. No quiero decir que un 6 sea una mala nota, pero para lo que yo estoy acostumbrada y con el esfuerzo que había hecho, no sentía que un 6 fuese lo que yo merecía.

Me tocó darme cuenta de que el relajo infinito no era la manera de seguir haciendo las cosas, en 3º de la ESO me había tocado bastante las narices. Me puse las pilas y empecé a hacer las cosas bien.

Empecé a organizarme mejor, a estudiar más concienzudamente, a no empezar a estudiar la tarde antes del examen y muchas cosas más.

Ojalá haberme dado cuenta de eso antes y no justo cuando estaba al borde de cargarme mi media, fue como un bofetón en la cara. Pero fue a tiempo y aprendí de él.

No tengo mucho más que decir hoy, ya que el año pasado me enfrenté a más retos personales que académicos, estaba tratando mi ansiedad y saliendo de una depresión, también intentaba limpiar mi vida de personas tóxicas. Pero hey, lo hice, y aquí estoy. 

Por favor, intentad corregir vuestros malos hábitos tan pronto como los detectéis. No esperéis a la bofetada, que duele y puede ser demasiado tarde.

Recordad que este post es parte del reto de vuelta a clases de @lesbianstudyblr de este post. Los voy a ir haciendo desordenados, pero pondré los números para que no sea un desastre.

So after some pondering about what to do, I decided to pursue my Master in History next to working in an antidiscrimination office. I hope I can continue learning new things and combine studying and working in a productive way. Tomorrow is the first day of my new first semester!

I bought this lesbian magazine issue because they're focusing on lesbian history! And I have a notebook for all the notes I'm going to take in university, one for organising my master's requirements, and my planner for everything. And there's tea, because tea is important during the dark season. Happy studying!

I don't know how people take aesthetically pleasing photos in public places, no less a library.... Anyway, I'm writing my conclusion, then all that's left is rewriting the introduction and the first draft is finished!!
