Whew! - I finally did it.
Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing okay during these really weird times :)
So my friend, @studywithprincess, convinced me to start a studyblr which (fingers cross!) will actually keep me accountable throughout the summer holidays.
I'm going to post about a variety of things: study tips and advice, memes to keep us going, what I'm working on and, of course, what I'm studying. I'll be reposting helpful and inspiring posts too but one thing that I'm definitely going to post about is actually a subject that I don't study (economics) but I thought it would sound cool to say I blogged about in my personal statement.
Anyways ... if you're not completely bored yet, here's more about me:
There is really only one thing you should know about me:
As you can probably tell, I like to talk - a lot - which means my responses are about 1.5x longer than the average person.
No, but seriously, I'm really excited to become part of this community and join the cult status of being an actual serious candidate.
My name's Danielle (although you've probably figured that out by now)
I'm 17, turning 18 in September (where my Libras at?)
I live in England and, no, I don't like tea :(
I'm an IB student in Year 12 (11th grade). I know, I know, I chose a painful route but to be fair, A-levels isn't looking easier! I take HL Global Politics, Philosophy and Maths and SL English Lit, Biology and French.
Right now, I'm focusing on my coursework and starting my revision (because I'm a serious candidate now) as well as writing my personal statement which was actually due a week ago :)
Also, a question for American students who do IB - do any of you do the IB in 3 years? If so, I'm really jealous.
I mean, I like a lot of things. Here are a few of them and if you like these too, I'd love to geek out with you!
Watching "nerdy" videos - my faves are Extra History and any of CGP Grey's and Kurtzgesagt's videos
Learning languages (I'm trying to learn French right now)
Sports - mainly running and rugby
No. 1 has to be sleeping though - there's nothing like a good night and day of sleep.
Anyways, enough about me. You probably follow these people already but in case you don't, you totally should!
@eintsein - amazing for *really* helpful studying tips and the graphics are incredible
@emmastudies - she taught me how to actually start a studyblr, need I say anymore?
@studyblrmasterposts - literally anything on studying can be found here, it's insane
@studyblr - so much positivity in one place!!!
@goblinstudies - such. pretty. notes.
And I couldn’t forget the OGs:
@studypetals @productive-tips @aslastudies @studyingdawn @pancakestudies @myhoneststudyblr @starrystvdy @studythenight-away @gabrilearnelle @tiredbiostudent @kilostudies @smartspo @studyburst @serendistudy @caffinated-rey @studyxinn @studyandicedcoffee @athenus (technically not a studyblr but amazing study content) @amorstudying @alevelblr
Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. It’s really nice to put myself out here into this amazing community and I’m so excited to start posting and meeting you all. First up tomorrow, 100 days of productivity.
