Yeah, I see what you mean. I really do not understand the whole ‘she did it / she dies’ scenario. The parallel also dives deeper in a very sad way for which seeing a character finally take up some quality screentime has their death as a consequence. I don’t think that type of narrative actually serves good to the characters. I’d say it just exploits them conditionally.

However, I did like that she ‘died’. Because, in terms of symbols, Caitlin has died and Killer Frost was born. It’s as strong a metaphor as when Barry was in a come for nine months, then he came to life as the Flash.

And what’s fascinating to me is that they act like EBR being on the show is going to bring in all these viewers... but she’s on ARROW every week and those ratings are plummeting so...

my favourite sanvers headcanon is that maggie always goes to bed on time but alex is a night owl so sometimes they'll stay up together and maggie is really grump in the morning but always glad she stayed up with alex :')

I still don’t understand how misogynistic and stupid and disrespectful this man and Wonder Mirakuru are. And how little do they understand the source material and even basic writing of the show??? I stopped watching an episode before Laurel was… never mind, and from what i gather, they not only get back to square one with Ollie’s vigilantism but basically got rid of everything on this show that makes viewers want to watch it. John… barely there? Thea is also MIA (Ha. Mia. See what I did there). Idk what about Oli/Fe’s relationship status and drama. Instead they get new characters out of the blue, several at times so there is little to no time to get attached to them emotionally, especially if you’re mourning/missing the characters you’ve known for several years but now are sidelined. And THEN you pull the Ace Shit Card with giving 

a) Black Siren and teasing the Black Canary redemption arc. I’d be fine with it. Not happy, but still fine. It’d still be Dinah. Not our Laurel, who went through the biggest shit but still stayed kind, lovable and strong, but we could still have Katie and see how BS is transforming into BC. And, due to this and Laurel’s past, the connection with Ollie would be meaningful. Oh, and don’t forget, there is no GA without BC

b) they give random ass character who has one name but then it turn out her real name happens to be Dinah FREAKING DRAKE and SHE HAPPENS TO HAVE FUCKING META CANARY CRY AND SHE IS NOW STICKING AROUND AND BEING BC???? Like… HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THE PHRASE “NO GA WITHOUT BC” (that you called stupid @marcguggenheim) DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CHARACTER WITH THIS CODENAME. THAT IT IS ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP. THEIR PAST. THEIR FUTURE TOGETHER. ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY ARE THEIR LIVES MOST IMPORTANT PARTS. I don’t care about this copycat. I want my Dinah Laurel Lance. Always trying to save the world. Doing her best in spite of everything. Overcoming her addiction without any support. Always helping those in need. Calling Ollie on his bullshit. Not someone who comes and is given everything she should have and be but didn’t get because SOMEONE hated the actress and character for no reason at all other than the fact that she got into the way of the ship.
