aaa i’m sorry!! in my lectures we’ve been alternating between dealing with the overlap of judaism islam and christianity as either calling him the god of abraham or referring to them all as people of the book so it’s just the habit i’ve gotten into. i’ll definitely keep this in mind!!!

Big Dick Silver/Tattoo Silver is how I found you, Orange verse is how I fell in love, and I/Them have a special place In my heart because of how you turned my nightmare into art. But the PotC “marry us Jack” fic is the one I remember in the most random places and then I think of “you will now pronounce” and I lose myself to laughter.

Oh god I never ate it. Ironically it was the olives, rather than the rest of the horror. I knew I didn’t like olives so I refused it. Fortunately my family were pretty easygoing and as long as I ate something I was ok.

Yeah, before that it wouldn’t get buggy unless you were trying to load a few thousand. I think it might be one of those issues that is gonna get more and more intense until finally Staff is like “Oh...that might be a problem...we’ll look into it. In a few months.” :P

I eventually got rid of it -- I make little amulets out of the stuff I find but every year on Halloween I clear them out, otherwise things get cluttered. It was helpful while it lasted, I suppose!

I can't figure out how to reply to your lipstick post, but is there a Sephora near you? They have an AMAZING return policy! And the staff are usually really helpful. You can just tell them the problem, and they may even let you try stuff on in the store. You won't be able to get $2-$3 lipsticks, but one $14 that you like is totally worth it
You know, there *is* a Sephora, not super close but pretty close. (It’s close to work, actually.) And I actually have real human actual real-life friends who work there. (They’re roller derby friends, so I haven’t seen them in a while, but.) So that is a good suggestion.
I had a couple other recs that I’ll repost here just in case anyone else was wondering the same thing, but most of them do involve going to a place like Sephora.
Which, I should do that, but I hate doing that sort of thing by myself, and wahh, etcetera. Maybe though, one or two of my sisters is going to visit me in Jan or Feb next year, so I can con them into joining me. Middle-Little Sister is super into cosmetics and All Things Womanly, and maybe Eldest would be interested too since she’s now got a high-powered job. (It’s different for her, being military, of course, but you can’t tell me that military women don’t wear makeup. They just have a particularly conservative aesthetic about it, I think. I know Eldest almost always has her toenails painted, because her fingernails can’t be the crazy colors her kids love most.)
I think I bought a $20 lipstick the last time I was there. It’d be worth it, of course! how many $5 lipsticks do I own that I put on once and was like “welp that looks awful”. A lot; there’s one in my jacket pocket right now that’s a lovely dark red that goes screaming magenta on me and also, as a bonus, never ever dries and remains slightly sticky for hours. (LA Girl Matte Flat Finish, btw: Do Not Recommend unless your favored aesthetic is Mouth Breather Whose Lips Will Stick Together If She Does Not Make This Face Constantly.
Which is a look, to be sure, but not really what I was hoping for.)
