Both Caroline and Elena are super into Jessica Jones! For Caroline especially but also Elena to a degree, she can really relate to Jessica’s struggle and her hatred of Kilgrave; Kilgrave’s rape and mental control of Jessica parallels really well with Damon’s rape and mental control of Caroline, and it’s one of Caroline’s ways to cope when PTSD is really up and at ‘em. Elena also relates to a degree, but she feels like “well I DID have feelings for Damon so maybe not really” (even though the sire bond absolutely was dub-con at best but w/e). One of their favorite things to do together is watch Jessica Jones and agree that she is, in fact, the coolest ever. Don’t get them started on whether Luke/Jessica or Trish/Jessica is better though, they will argue forever on the matter and it can get kind of heated. The make-up sex is great, though.
