How I feel about this character

eddie is my fave...like i feel like everyone either thinks eddie or richie are my fave and i’m here to set the record straight and just out right say it’s eddie. i’m always like i can’t decide if richie or eddie is #1 but tbh pretty sure it’s def eddie.

richie!!!! reddie trash first, human second. i don’t ship eddie with anyone else.

love kasplon friendship!!! steddie could be good too but i never imagine them being super close. kaspbrough is good as bffs ONLY.

My unpopular opinion about this character

i just don’t like when eddie is portrayed as the GBF. let him have a personality outside of that :)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT TOO DFSSDFS honestly homestuck would be better if john egbert was replaced by a bizarre amalgamation of duck and clint. i’m trying to picture it in my brain and it’s basically clint’s face with a park ranger hat on john’s body.

so at one point i started writing a oneshot or a oneshot series (who knows?? not me!!) where instead of frank dying when eddie is little, myra dies instead, and eddie gets to grow up in a world where he’s raised by a single dad (who works too hard who loves her kids and never stops) and said dad is besties with wentworth tozier so they spend a lot of time w the toziers and lean on them for emotional support anyway this is the lil introduction

There’s not much Eddie Kaspbrak remembers about his mom. He’sgot vague memories, of course. He wonders often though how much is his ownmemory and how much he has internalized from all the stories his dad has toldhim. He was only 5 when it happened, and there’s very little he remembers fromage 5. He knows his mom had dropped him off on the first day of kindergarten,knows it’s the same day he met Bill. But he doesn’t remember either of thoseevents specifically.

He forgets what her face looks like sometimes, if he goestoo long without looking at her picture. He feels guilty that he doesn’t lookvery often, but he just doesn’t think about it. He’s asked his dad if he’s abad son, if she’d be disappointed that he doesn’t think of her or miss her, andhis dad had said that what he felt was completely normal, because it’s hard tomiss something you never really had.

He’s lived by that for a while. It’s hard to miss somethingyou never had.
