Van drove into a crowd in Barcelona today

(17 August 2017)

So far 6 people (UPDATE:13) were found dead after a van drove into a crowd in Barcelona, all the stations have been closed.

The police has asked not to spread images or videos of the victims (mostly for respect for their families) and to use social media if you’re okay in order not to collapse the emergency lines.

Please stay away from Plaça Catalunya.

*The Mossos Twitter account ( Catalonia’s police force) has informed that it is NOT true that there has been a shooting in El Corte Inglés. They are also updating information in English, Catalan, Spanish and French, in case you need any help. 

 *It has been confirmed by the Mossos that this was a terrorist attack.

*Please avoid the Rambla too.

*It seems that a second van has been found near Vic (not confirmed).

*I have been informed about different numbers of mortal victims, but so far there have been 32 people injured.
